I’ve never been so afraid and confused in my life. They’re telling me I’ve been dragged back in time, to a different time, and I have to fight aliens. In Iowa. I’m not sure who’s more delusional, these doctors and nurses spouting off about how little time is left, or me, for listening to them.
And these men who have me now, they’re soldiers, scary-efficient troops who claim I’m who they’ve been waiting for. They’re always with me, taking care of me, talking to me, all while we make our way through a dangerous and infested city. I’m somehow supposed to detect these killer creatures nesting underground. Aliens who apparently exist only to eat people and make more aliens. Find them—sniff them out!—so these men can kill them with machine guns and grenades, just like people are trying to do all over this decimated world.
As out of my depth as I am, I do know one thing. I need these men as much as they need me.

No spoilers of any kind. So all I’m going to say about this book is that it’s a good story and I’m going to leave it at that.
So yes I do recommend this book to anyone who’s looking for a good story to climb into and escape reality at least for a little while.

Another thrilling new reverse harem series in a dystopian settings. I think my toes are curling the whole time and I might have to stretch a limb (or two). The pacing of the story was actually slow burn but with all those moles and alieny stuffs going on, I felt like I had ran for my life, too. Sadly, there were some times I was rather feeling impatient. Also, this was the first one in the series so there's no much explanation about the back-story of the situation in the first place. Just more on the action department.

I got to understand, accept and love the heroine in the end. At first, it seemed frustrating that she's acting that way BUT wasn't really her fault and was more because of her dire circumstances. What got on my nerves though was her lashing out on the men, esp on Hector. I personally didn't find him too alpha. So those times the heroine was being immature with him, I kind of wanted to shake her. But yeah, I wouldn't be able to completely fathom what she must have been experiencing. And what mattered the most was I could see how she grew and learned to adapt.

The guys were amazing. I respect their treatment of Marie. They are protective but not overbearing. They are military and all battle skilled but their gentleness and patience with the heroine was greatly appreciated. They did act like men who knew what they're doing.

Just a shame that relationship or harem-building wise, this one's a slow burn. (Again, that's probably my impatience!) But on the other hand, they were fighting for their freaking lives so I shouldn't really expect much action in the bedroom. I'm excited how the author is turning the whole comrades thing into something romantic though.

Okay.

The characters are real and believable. The plot is interesting and engaging. The romance angle is very much a slow burn.

I eagerly await the next book in this series. I want to know what’s going to happen to our little team, and what’s going to happen next between them. I highly recommend this book for readers, especially those that aren’t bothered by slow burn books.

So at first I wasn’t sure I’d ever like all the characters. Kidnapping our heroine is a pretty big flaw, even if our heroes only participated indirectly. I liked Marie’s reaction to the kidnapping. I’d have been disappointed if she meekly rolled over and accepted what they said and her role. Which wouldn’t have made sense of an independent modern woman. But she didn’t. She tried to escape, she was disbelieving. She was mildly rebellious and snide. It was perfect.

I was slightly disappointed that it was so slow in the romance, but I understood it. Forming the relationship and trust between her and the boys would have taken time. I am excited to see their relationships progress in the next book.

Also! I love that the story takes place in an alternate timeline in the past. Great job, keep writing!

I'm not saying it's aliens...but it's aliens

I didn't think I'd like the slow burn romance and the delayed gratification storyline but I did. Readers are thrown into the story right from the start. There’s no spoon feeding, and that ambiguity lets the reader think about what might be going on. You’re also in the same situation, information wise, as Marie. She gets grabbed from her apartment and taken to some military-style complex. She slowly learns just what the heck is happening. It’s time travel. And aliens. It’s aliens and time travel. Who wouldn't have a hard time believing that? Her skeptical reaction is how most people would feel.

Marie is a vital part of saving this timeline, but she's still there against her will. She's a conscript, just like in the old days--minus the scurvy. She has three big soldiers who protect her and guide her, so she can do her job. There is a slow build-up for the reverse harem romance and the action. It’s like a movie where each scene gives you hints about these aliens, insight into this society or a step forward in getting to know each other. I like it.

I seriously loved this book from the get go. I loved the MC attitude. Her laid back yet caring and sometimes stubborn personality clicked for me instantly. She felt more real to me than a lot of heroines I have previously read about. What she was thrown into would have made anyone upset, scared, confused and I appreciate that the Author allowed her MC to fully embody her emotions. I liked the progression of the book, and while it is a slow burn in a way... It had just to keep you interested. Looking forward to book 2 as the Author progresses their relationship and the situation they are in.

she is stunned when they tell her that she has been dragged back in time. she will have to fight aliens. the men say they need her as much as they need her. she has so much to get used too. will she get used to it all? will they become close? will they be able to beat the aliens? see where they will all go

Great start to what is going to be a very cool series. The story is believable as are the characters. I'm ready for the next book!

Marie was written wonderfully. She reacted exactly as one would think. I like that the three men assigned to take care of her are human beings with a heart and not the normal a**hats that usually accompany a book. Great imagination!

Wow

This booked combined my favourite genres into 1 story.
Aliens, alternate reality, RH.
Add to that a realistic MC, soldiers and alien fights.
Highly recommend.

I was surprised by how quickly I was sucked into this story. It was action filled and nerve wracking at moments. Exciting and scary at times.

The female main character, Marie, was thrown into a scary and unknown situation. She was not treated very well at first and that just contributed to her overall sense of unease about what was happening to her. She was taken from her timeline to an alternate one. They need her help because she has a unique ability that will help the military fight off stinky monster mole aliens(I know, right?) The men she was paired/grouped with were kind and understanding though so her situation, though dangerous and dire, was more easily accepted and she learned to handle herself, in my opinion, very well given the circumstances.
The men were Hector, Temujin and Etak. They were kind and understanding. At times they seemed shy and innocent around her being that she was a woman and they were soldiers. I was getting the impression that they hadn't been in a relationship before due to their world's unique crisis. Maybe they never had a chance to have a relationship? This is something we don't know because it was never said.
There is a lot of information I would like to know about this world, mostly I would have liked the men's individual life stories. The majority of what the book is about is the group's military operation and their daily survival. There was no romance, no intimacy until the very end and that was between Marie and Etak only and is a secret from the other two. If this is truly going to be a reverse harem then there is definitely a lot more story to be told. At the way the story ends, with only some super heavy petting between 2 of the 4 characters, I'm not sure how the author will get us there or how many books to the series there will end up being. But as for the story itself, RH notwithstanding, it was engrossing and page turning. They were in constant danger and survival is of utmost importance while trying to complete their mission of clearing alien nests from the city.
This leaves off on an important cliffhanger where life is hanging in the balance.

This was such a different concept. Marie was kidnapped from her apartment and brought to an alternative timeline where there are aliens. She has a special ability to sniff them out. She also gets three men who are picked to take care of her. It was a very interesting world and I can't wait for the next book.
