Provides essential information on equipment, methods, safety guidelines, and sealing tips, as well as more than eighty recipes for jams, jellies, vegetables, relishes, and other foods
Not recommended. Some good recipes and advice but it's very dated. It talks, for example, about the Microdome, which was a microwave canning system that was discontinued after a few years because it wasn't safe. There are better books.
This is an excellent canning and preserving primer. Technique descriptions could have been more detailed or more clearly written as a reference book rather than from the perspective of the author. All in all a good beginners book with lots of pictures.
