OMG, I LOVE this story! There is something about this story that tugged at my heart. Graham is a freaking awesome character. I want a Graham.

Cindy is beautiful. She is heartbroken over her husband being killed overseas. But she is a great mother and is doing everything she can to make the best for Lili. When Graham moves in next door and he comes across all grumpy there is nothing like a sweet little girl to make someone smile.

Graham is grieving himself. When his family is murdered, he will do everything he can to solve the crime and get his revenge. But Cindy and Lili might help him heal also.

There are quite a few things that bothered me about this book. The first is that it moved a little too fast for my liking. I don't think there was really enough set up of any of the characters or their relationships.

The second is that the author, for some reason, thought it was a good idea to make it more like 3 books in one rather than just one book without mentioning it anywhere in the title or description. A brief look at or excerpt of another novel I get but the actual book the title is about only takes up 20% of the goddamn book. This pretty much ensures I will never pick up a book by this author again. It tells me she doesn't have confidence in her books that you'll want more from her and instead is trying to trick you into reading her books.

Honestly, this would be three stars if not for the stupidity of the actual book the title is about only being 20% of the kindle book.

This is a slightly different take on a second-chance romance. It’s not a second chance with “the one that got away”, it’s another chance to get it right after tragedy took a first love away. There are so many layers to what, at first, appears to be such a simple story. When we first meet Graham and Cindy we think we know what’s going to happen, but the situation quickly become something so much more complex. At the risk of getting a little spoiler-y, there’s parts to this story that remind of “Donnie Brasco”, it's also liberally mixed with a lot of other things that I just can’t name as easily. There’s lots of drama, lots of steam, some sweet awe-worthy moments, and even some big laughs.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.

I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy of Stone Heart. Just Wow! I really enjoyed the beginning, the setting up of the storyline. Loved the slow build. It was beautifully written, easy to read. I thourghly enjoyed reading this book so much I bought it, so I could have it on all of my reading devices. I was so happy to read this down to earth slow burn romance, it was just perfect. A very fitting cover too, Wow! Another amazing book, thank you.

Loved it

Cindy lost her husband a year ago while he was deployed. Graham lost his wife and son in a home invasion two years ago. Cindy is trying to rebuild her life for the sake of her daughter. Graham is in hiding. A former CIA agent, he is wanted as a traitor. He fears his job got his family killed. He is determined to bring those responsible to justice. Cindy's little girl brings them together. They form a bond over their losses. Graham fears he will put them in danger. Then his worst fears are realized when Cindy is taking ken.
A fast paced, steamy, story. A great second chance at love story. Loved Cindy and Graham. Their best friends Nikki and Daniel were true friends. Little Lily was adorable. A nice epilogue to wrap up their story.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. Rye's books are automatic buys for me. She generously included a never before published story, Broken Cowboy, along with a few of her previously released books as a bonus.

Broken Cowboy 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Chase is a former Marine, turn rancher. He has lost to many people he cared about, that he craves solitude. Abby, is on the run from her abusive boyfriend, hiding in the middle of nowhere Texas.
Chase takes pity on his tiny neighbor and offers her a ride into town. She starts to get under his skin. When her boyfriend hurts her again, he moves her into his house. While he tries to keep his walls up, Abby keeps breaking them down. When he nearly loses her again he realizes he has fallon for her.
A fast paced and steamy story. Would have liked to see an epilogue of were they were in a year.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book. Wow, what an amazing book. I loved this story, it’s emotional, suspenseful, dark and daring. Graham still reeling from the loss of his family, on the run from his past, being accused of something he didn’t do. Never get involved, don’t make friends, keep to yourself, his motto. That is until he meets his neighbor Cindy and her daughter Lily. Cindy herself is dealing with the loss of her husband, raising her daughter and trying to make a living with the help of her friend Nicole. Graham is gruff, short winded, but hot as all get out and Cindy can’t take her eyes of him and he’s trying but not really making any progress. These two are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame, they are explosive together, but there is someone lingering in the back ground, Paul, a friend of the family who made a promise to protect Cindy and Lily. There’s jealousy, hatred, and disgust. Rumors in town about Graham, just how much of it is true? Will these two be able to open up to each other and share their grief? How does Paul fit into all of this? Danger is just around the corner and it’s everything Graham tried to avoid, can he keep Cindy and Lily safe or will he endure the pain of losing someone again? Absolutely loved this book, Rye really has outdone herself this time. This is a must read, you won’t be able to put down, highly recommend it and if you want to read their story to find out what brings them together and how it ends you have to grab this book!! #oneclickit

How to melt someones heart.
What a fantastic read, this has been sitting on my TBR pile for a little while I need to sort this pile out or I am going to miss classics like this.

Graham bless him has had a tragic time with the loss of his family, he's being accused of things that he didn't do and he's now on the run.
So the last thing he wants to do is draw attention to himself so he does his best to 'hide' and not connect with people in this small town that he's seeking haven. But then he meets his feisty neighbor, Cindy, and her precious little girl, Lily. When Cindy sees how he interacts with Lily she knows that he has a good heart and won't hurt them.
Cindy's husband died and so has known heartbreak too.
The chemistry between two lonely people was frigging explosive and couldn't be ignored . But what will the gossip mongers in town say about them?? Will Graham and Cindy be able to develop a loving relationship and begin a family with Lily or will they be torn apart when his past catches up with him? Can he keep Cindy and Lily alive and safe? Rye Hart has composed this fabulous story for us and it is one journey that is a must read. She has written this plot with such passion that you will be captivated at page one just as I was and kept enthralled till the very last page. This is a prime example of why Rye is one of the top 100 fiction writers. This story line is a very emotional roller coaster that I didn't put it down until I finished reading in the breaking of dawn which resulted in 3 hours sleep yet again. but it was well worth the lack of sleep

This is an amazing emotional love story about Cindy, her daughter, Lily and Graham. They each have experienced life altering events that have taken them down a dark path. Cindy is trying to recover from the death of her military husband, Bradley and Graham is still dealing with the fallout of his wife and son being killed due to his under cover work with the CIA. Graham is hiding from the CIA and the mob to gather evidence who is after him and who is responsible for him losing his family. While laying low he moves to Bend, Oregon right next door to Cindy. When Cindy and Graham meet Cindy sees the same pain and hurt in his eyes and knows he understands her and her pain. Many people in town believe Graham to be bad news as he keeps to himself and comes off rough but as Cindy spends time with Graham she knows he is a good man that is dealing with a lot of pain! They both feel broken and as they become friends, spend time together as a couple and family they start to heal a little at a time. I enjoyed how these two broken hearts try to heal but will what they have be enough to continue them to grow? There are some twist to this story you will be surprised by and some good and bad choices are made that cause more harm. Can Graham keep his dangerous past from his life with Cindy and Lily or will it catch up to him? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

In this book we have Graham who is an ex-CIA agent, who is on the run. Graham has moved from town to town never staying in one place long. He has been on the run the last two years. He winds up in a small town, Bend, OR. The people in Bend have been stating he is a monster who has been attacking his friends and family. Graham is a loner, who doesn’t do well with new people, even though that’s all he’s done the past few years, with moving around.

We also have Cindy who is the striking blond next door neighbor, who has a daughter Lily who is just starting kindergarten. Cindy has had a hard time with her life. Her husband died in Iraq, one year ago, and she’s never fully recovered. Cindy hasn’t met a man who has held her interest long. Until she meets her gruff new neighbor, Graham. She wonders why he is so gruff and doesn’t want the world in his business.

Cindy wants to find out all she can about Graham. Graham is quite taken with Cindy, and he hasn’t been interested in anyone for over two years.

Will Graham let Cindy and Lily into his heart? Will Graham be able to open up to Cindy? Will Cindy be able to open up to Graham? Will they be able to have a future together? Or will Graham’s past drive him away again and ruin it?

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review I am freely leaving.

Hot story that is very well written and has over the top chemistry between the two main characters. The story flows well of the pages and is captivating because of the use of words and the twists that are unexpected.

This story has nice hot scenes and a sweet romance. A captivating story that has a lot in it. A single father hides from his feelings and his past. A past where he lost his wife and now is widowed. The pain and the hurt is with him all the time. A broken man. His neighbor, Cindy, tries to tear down the brickwall he has build around his heart. A story with lot of steamy scenes, some drama, pain, hurt feelings, passion, chemistry and lots of emotions.

A book of good length and very well written. Nice storyline and plot. Characters are well described and they develop nicely through the story. Their chemistry is amazing and the passion hot. They are likeable. I like the way they blossum together and how they find out that they are an amazing match. This story is not only about the hot scenes but it has heart in it.

I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating. Enjoyable read. A fantastic romance and love story with heart and hotness.

A wonderfully written story from The that had me sitting on the edge of my seat and my heart in my mouth with intrigue, danger and bad guys. Cindy is still coming to terms with the death of her husband, Bradley, and moves back home to Bend Colorado to be close to family with her daughter Lily. Graham is the new guy next door, already making waves through the neighborhood with rumours, he is an ex operative who left his job after his wife and child were murdered. Dissalusioned with the CIA he doesn't stop to get his debrief. With the help of a friend he finds some stuff out but what can it be?

Paul, Bradley's friend, makes a nuisance of himself and warns Graham off Cindy after flashing a not a cop badge. With the help of Daniel, Graham's best mate and ex operative, they find what they are looking for and go to their ex boss. With a threat of arrest lokming and Paul's harassment of Cindy getting worse things take a turn for the worse. Can Graham get to Cindy in time or will it be the same as his wife? A great book from start to finish and I had to read in one sitting so I didn't forget any detail. I received an advanced reader copy of this book

These books by Rye Hart seem to get better and better with this one taking the cake. There was so much I loved about this read, Graham, Cindy, her daughter Lily, his best friend Daniel and her best friend Nicole. There’s suspense, heartache, heartbreak, lust, steamy scenes, and love. I loved the fact that Graham wasn’t a man wh***, who tried getting over his late wife with women. I loved Cindy, a great mother who had a back bone and fought for her late husband and then Graham. I loved that there were no misunderstandings or miscommunications and no over the top drama between them. I loved how Graham tried to resist Cindy and Lily only to fall for them, trying to protect them and lowering his wall with them, thawing out his stone heart. I loved how they understood each other, both of them losing people they loved tragically and how they healed each other. I loved the suspense with Paul and how Graham’s past was threatening his present and his future with Cindy and I loved the ending especially the epilogue...simply put....I loved this read !!

So far every book I've read by Rye Hart has been a five star and “Stone Heart” is no exception. After losing his wife and son, Graham has turned into a bitter, rude, impatient man. He is hiding not only from the pain but his past. Cindy, a beautiful single mother has also suffered a loss that leaves her wary of any romantic relationships. Graham has just moved into town and doesn't blend in very well. Because he is new to the small town, rumors about him abound. Cindy never listens or believes the rumors. Instead she sees beneath his gruff exterior, a kind man who has suffered. Graham is Cindy's next door neighbor and when they meet, the chemistry between the two is red hot. Will Cindy take a chance on such a broken man? Will Graham manage to stay in one place long enough to develop a relationship? Will Graham's past prove a danger to Cindy and her daughter? “Stone Heart” is an well-written romance, with steamy sex, a bit of danger and as always romance. One-click to enjoy this fascinating story.

Wow, you can always rely on Rye Hart to come up with another stunning book. Graham who used to work for the CIA until his wife and daughter were killed in a home invasion is a very private person and tries to be invisible in the town. Cindy who has a daughter, Lily, has lost her husband who was in the military. Both are trying to come to terms with their loss. This was a fabulously emotional story with very well written scenes of passion. The characters were great and interacted well, having an electric connection right from the beginning. The story is written in a dual POV which I like because you know what they are thinking and you get caught up in the emotion. This was a very exciting story full of betrayal, and connection with the mob. A rollercoaster of a ride and a definite page turner. I could not put it down and have fallen in love with Graham and Cindy and you will too I am sure. I voluntarily received an arc of this book for an honest review and I have also purchased a copy in support of the author.

Another hit for Rye Hart!
If you love intrigue, and broken people finding second chances, than you'll love this happy ever after.
Graham, is a man who is broken. He was a CIA agent, who lost his wife and son, and blames himself for their death.
Cindy, is a widower, who lost her husband when he was killed I combat. She has a daughter who she will protect at all costs.
When Graham, moves in next door, he's cold and unfriendly. He doesn't want to be bothered. He wants to be left alone. He is hurt and despondent. He craves the love of a woman, and he is broken at the loss of his family.
An unfortunate accident happens, with his new neighbor, that sets things in motion. He can't stay away from his neighbor and her daughter. They are drawn to each other.
When things start to come to light, about his past, he realizes the need to protect his neighbor.
An easy read, and hard to put down story.

That being said, I would definitely add this to my collection.

I expected a little bit more. To begin, did not expect the sexual encounter between Cindy and Graham were given so quickly. Considering that Cindy wassingle mother, very protective, attentive and careful with Lilly. In this case, I think it should then be to know each other better.

There were parts that could have worked a little more to the suspense came to a level of unease in the reader. As far as I'm concerned, I did not feel. The only part for me was unexpected happened with Paul. That idiot was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Whichever Graham interpose his desires rather than the safety of Cindy and Lilly, did not like me. He could have resisted a little, even after being told the truth. The idea of the story is good but the development of it did not satisfy me at all.

I liked Lilly, so tender, lively and intelligent. The tenderness and understanding between Cindy and Graham. And the unconditional friendship Nicole always present at all times. And of course, the happy ending.

A well written and emotional love story. Graham suffered a brutal betrayal, accused of something he did not do and the loss of his family has retreated to the mountains of Oregon intending to keep the world at bay. Cindy had heard the rumors about Graham and that he was rude and barbaric but she knew differently the day she saw Graham take care of her daughter Lily when she was hurt, she realizes they he is carrying a deep hurt and has built a wall around himself. It is the same hurt she and Lily carry from the loss of her husband and Lily's dad. These are three hurting souls who seem to be drawn to each other despite their walls and pain. Can these two let go of their painful past and build a future together and will Graham be able to keep his past from reeking more havoc, will his innocence be revealed? Get your copy and enjoy this emotional ride. Enjoy, I did! My volutary and honest review for an ARC!

Another Rye Hart 5 Star Read!

This was an emotionally gripping story of a second chance at love for Graham and Casey who have each lost the love of their lives. Graham’s life had tragically changed when his adoring wife and son had been killed two years ago in what had been described as a home invasion. Casey’s husband, Bradley had died serving his country a year ago. These two are able to break down the barriers protecting their hearts with the help of Casey’s five year old daughter, Lily when Graham moves in next door adorable little girl and her mother. There’s plenty of mystery and intrigue as details of Graham’s former job as a CIA Agent comes front and center and then Paul, Casey’s late husband’s best friend manages to create more havoc in their already turbulent love life as Casey fights for their HEA! The book has lust, love, laughter and a great story line as only Rye Hart can spin! I highly recommend this book!

WOW WOW WOW !!! Again! This story is just so captivating, exciting, entiecing (hope that is correctly spelled... ) I just don't get where these ideas come from to Rye's stories and even though ARC's are often times not done completely with editing, Rye writes as far as I know the English language really well. I at least am quite a stickler to correct writing and there are very few in his books. This story like others from him is well thought out and well planned, it evolves and comes quite to a crescendo and it just gives you it all. I loved it! But as always, these are just my thoughts on this story and as always I incourage you to get to a conclusion yourself by reading it yourself!

Cindy and Graham have both experienced life changing loss and heart break and they see that hurt in each others eyes. Graham is basically on the run while trying to find his families killer so he has to stay under the radar and getting involved with a widowed single mother is the last thing he should do. Cindy doesn't believe the rumors circulating the town about Graham, her new neighbor, she sees the pain in his eyes and she feels a bond with him but he's making it known that he doesn't want to be friends! When Graham starts to lower his walls to Cindy and her little girl the danger around all of them comes knocking on the door! Graham wasn't able to save his wife and son from this danger but he's determined not to fail Cindy and her daughter! A really good book, one of my favorites by Rye Hart!

Too Much....

This author crammed too much into this book. There were like 3 full-length books included, and 1 short story. The romances were well-devoloped, but the author's writing formula was too similar and predictable. The romantic angst was a tad immature, but the characters had dimension and were likeable. There was TOO MUCH gratuitous sex, and it lacked sensuality...more graphic in nature. The escapades were very similar, and lacked uniqueness for each individual story. I started skimming towards the end, because there was too much reiteration of themes, and flow. Sweet Stories, but too much sexual and dramatic fluff. My suggestion to the author is to just put one book in under each title, because now I have no interest in reading anything else by you for awhile...just too much!

There are just SO many things wrong with this story that it’s difficult to know where to start.

Widow Cindy strikes up a friendship with Graham, a surly loner who lives next door. Despite wanting to stay away from entanglements, he’s drawn to Cindy and her little girl. Lots of sexy times ensue..and lots of ‘juices’ are flowing. Eewwwwww...

Can Graham keep Cindy and her daughter safe from the threatening shadows in his past??? If you want to know, you’ll have to keep reading through lots of wooden dialogue and glaring plot holes until the (painfully obvious) big reveal of the villain.

There’s absolutely nothing to recommend this book. The characters are stale; the plot is uninspired; the (very damp) sex is dull and repetitive.

The best thing I can say about this story is that it ends at 20% on my Kindle. So there’s that......

"Two broken people..finding comfort in another soul who understood"

Cindy and Graham both feel like they are broken. Both have suffered a loss that claimed the other half of them. When Graham moves in next door, Cindy sees more in him than the town rumors. She sees a loss soul just like herself. Graham is hiding not only from his pain but also his past. A past that could cost him his life and the life of anyone close to him. Graham knows he should keep away from Cindy but their attraction is too strong. Can he keep her and her daughter safe from his past? What will happen when he realizes his past is closer than he thought?

I get so much satisfaction whenever I read one of Rye Hart’s books. I read this book in one sitting and when I got to the end I wanted to read it again. Such superb imagery and vivid descriptions! The main and side characters the author created, you will love and wish you were there with them, being a part of their lives. This story is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat with your heart beating fast from all the excitement and the mystery of what is to come next. There is drama, conspiracy, creepiness, kidnapping and a twist I was not expecting, making this an even more enjoyable read. I could not get enough and wish it did not have to end. This is a MUST READ!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

There are Cindy who has been dealing with the death of her husband for the last year. It has been a trying time with a living reminder in her daughter. She feels broken and doesn't think the feeling will ever go away. Then there is Graham, who definitely is broken as he blames himself for the death of his wife and child. Since then he has been hiding from his past and just getting by. Moves from city to city. When he moves in next door to Cindy, he can recognize her pain as he feels the same. Will they be able to heal each other? Will his past repeat itself? This was an enjoyable book that sucks you right in an keeps you reading to see what will happen. Good main and secondary characters. Enjoy.

These two have been out through the grinder for sure. Things have them both battling inside demons, as well as his demons trying to come back to haunt him.
