3.5 stars. The protagonist is a strong and feisty young woman who senses something is amiss and does something about it. A fun adventure involving boats and tuna and set in Puerto Rico--everything about this setting was new to me and I quite enjoyed it!

Ms. Anna pilots her father’s Caribbean charter fishing boat by the stars, her gods and saints. She is also woefully underemployed as a bartender, until New Englander Max drops into her life and wins the boat in a card game. Together they and a delightful crew of misfits get involved with something that does not smell quite right about a Puerto Rico based tuna factory.

My friend and neighbor, Bill Lockwood, has created memorable characters and a clever plot. This is a quick read that keeps you guessing, in a beautiful tropical setting, with a clever, satisfying resolution. Well written and fun to recommend!
