Re-read 1/1/17:
I thought it had been longer than 6 months since we read this book, but my daughter grabbed it at the library again and I remembered liking it. I still really enjoyed it this time around. The story is really good and my daughter was really engaged. She was pointing at all the different things on the page and it had a good build of a climax. My daughter was really paying attention to see what the fate of the cat would be (she's 2 years old). I still really enjoy how the book ends with the same format as the introduction, but a twist on the situation. This is a book that I would love to own.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this book. The illustrations were beautiful. They were large and colorful and not too cartoonish. The story was a lot of fun - the mouse steals cheese and so the cat chases the mouse. The cat gets in to some trouble and the mouse saves the day. I really liked the very end of the book. It was really cute. My daughter was really interested in it as well. Part of it is the size of the book. It basically filled her field of vision so she couldn't be distracted as easily. And then with the pictures and story, it really kept her attention. So happy we picked this book up at the library.

Perinteistä riimittelyä Kustannus Mäkelän tyyliin. Kuvitus oli hauskaa ja eläväistä, juoni ehkä hieman köykäinen mutta lapsia tapahtumat hieman huvittivat!

This book is one of my son's favourite. We read it many months ago and returned it back to library. But still he remembers it and ask me to get it from library. Its a nice book with good story and lots of colourful images.
