Tsugumi Ōba (Profile in Japanese: 大場 つぐみ), born in Tokyo, Japan, is a writer best known for the manga Death Note. His/her real identity is a closely guarded secret. As stated by the profile placed at the beginning of each Death Note manga, Ōba collects teacups and develops manga plots while holding his knees on a chair, similar to a habit of L, one of the main characters of the series.

There is speculation that Tsugumi Ōba is a pen name and that he is really Hiroshi Gamō. Pointing out that in Bakuman the main character's uncle was a one-hit wonder manga artist who worked on a gag super hero manga, very similar to Gamō and Tottemo! Luckyman in all aspects. Also that the storyboards drawn by Ōba greatly resemble Tottemo! Luckyman in style.

Big turn in the series. Police agent Hoshi and his fiancée Yumiki (who's got hit by a read arrow by Saki) make contact with Mirai and Saki without the government orr their superiors knowing to start a search for the other three god candidates whos identities are still unknown.

The story continues, and now people are aware of the God candidates when one of them comes forward to spill the beans, and so, obviously, the powerful people and people in power look to abuse the power of the God candidates. Ah, well enough time for the story to become more interesting so let's go and let's keep on reading.

I have always loved comics, and I can and I have. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more. You should also read what you love, and I hope you will always love it. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics, Mangas, Mahwas, and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.

Platinum End, Vol. 9 continues where the previous tankobon left off and contains the next four chapters (28–31) of the on-going manga series.

The tankōbon opens with a new storyline. Susumu Yuito, a sixth grader, and the God Candidate that Nanato Mukaido identified during the Jinbo Stadium incident and the person under the Donald Trump mask during the last stand of Kanade Uryu as Metropoliman. Nanato Mukaido, in front of live television, not only told his back story, but about everything about God Candidates and about one of them would become God and his vote goes to Mirai Kakehashi known as Red.

Meanwhile, the police, who knew about God Candidates already, are going to collected them – the first being Nanato Mukaido, but he flew away. Fortunately, Mirai Kakehashi and Saki Hanakago are found by Officers Hoshi and Yumiki, who are going against orders to arrests these God Candidates, but to help them. Mirari Kakehasi and Saki Hanakago help Officers Hoshi and Yumiki figure out the rest of the God Candidates – unfortunately, they were convinced that Mizuki Minamikawa was one, because he recognized the hand jester that his best friend Kanade Uryu used.

No additional deaths are noted in this tankōbon, bringing the death toll of the God Candidates to seven with six other still living. Tonma Rodriguez, the comedian was quickly killed off earlier in the series, Shogo Hatakeyama, Saburo Tabuchi, and Chiyo Nakayma were killed when Metropoliman made his reveal to the world at Jinbo Stadium. Hajime Sokotani was killed by Metropoliman during the final battle, with Kanade Uryu being killed by Nanato Mukaido, who succumbed to his cancer.

Tsugumi Ohba has written another wonderful tankobon. It is an interesting new story arc about young Susumu Yuito revealing the existence of not just god, angels, but the God Candidates and what power they have and the potential about becoming God. As always, Takeshi Obata's art is simply amazing and accentuates the text rather well.

All in all, Platinum End, Vol. 9 is a wonderful continuation of the series and I can't wait to read more. I am intrigued to find out how the story continues.

I made the worst decision ever!

I looked at the spoilers of who would be the new God in the end and I have to say... I'm not happy.

Which is why I'm not enjoying this story more.

Look, I want to see how it will happen, what will be and etc however I'm not so bump to read as I was before?!

Se pone la cosa interesante con un giro de 180° de los acontecimientos. No sé si se va a liar más o va a ayudar a que todo se esclarezca.

Six god candidates are left and the world is starting to notice.

Gotta say the kid flying around with the Trump mask is a whole new level of creepy. I am glad he dropped it when he starts addresses the media. :)

With the defeat of Metropoliman and the mournful goodbyes for Mukaido out of the way there is little time for peace for Mirai and Saki as the child who managed to take all of Metropoliman's arrows and wings announces in an interview he truth about the god candidates and basically setting the world on a hunt to discover where the other ones are. Honestly with today's tech I bet they can figure out who anyone with wings are by simply tracking their phones as they suddenly appear elsewhere in a blink. :)

Anyway however it happens Mirai and Saki are discovered but not turned in by some of the officers on the case and decide to help them discover who the other candidates are to expedite the trial and prevent anyone else from getting hurt due to the powers granted to the candidates. It feels this might be a point when without Mukaido around Mirai and Saki are going to have to rely on their new allies whether it is a good idea or not. Let the games continue. :)

This series has been a big disappointment, but in volumes 9, 10 and 11 ( have not read further) the story suddenly shifts from superhero schlock to an introspective dialog driven plot. There are moments reminiscent of death note, but it's very much it's own thing. I have not been this invested in the comic since the first volume. It is such a shocking return to form for Ohba that it makes you wonder what the hell was going on behind the scenes for most of the series.

Despite how silly this has all been, the climax of the fight WAS entertaining! I think the core problem right now is that the writers want to recreate their meditation on good and evil in the vein that they did so successfully with "Death Note," but are repacking old goods in a story that is meaningless and stupid. The last two books were better, but I have no idea where this goes now (and less confidence that it will be good again).

In the aftermath of Metropoliman's downfall, Yuiga Susumu announces to the entire world that he's a god candidate and explains exactly what's going on. The angels, the arrows, the candidates, everything. And proposes that everyone just vote for who they want to be the next god (Yuiga picks Mirai) Thus, the great hunt for god candidates begins. ...this is gonna get messy.

This series has 14 volumes.

It's starting to get interesting again ! A new storyline has finally appear and I'm curious to see where it leads.
Also we're apparently in the same world as Death Note since "Sakura TV" is mentioned in this one.

After all the action of the battle against Metropoliman, this volume is more about character and story building.

There are 6 candidates to God and their respective Angels left and at the end of this volume only 2 are still unknown.

The battle for the place of God continues and now regular humans join the battle.

Things are getting interesting!

Susumu Yuito goes public about the GOD canidates and asks the public to vote on it. The worldwide manhunt for the remaining GOD canidates ensues, and Mirai and Saki end up helping two police officers track them down.

Je pense définitivement arrêter ce manga.
Beaucoup trop fouillis niveau dessin.

Vedremo e speriamo.
