Infinite Blue by Natalina Reis is the story of Shahin Halcón and Cai Banes. Shahin is a bird shiftier who has found his soul mate in Cai. But he only watches Cai from afar until they are set up on a 'blind date' and Cai too ends up finding him very attractive. Both men go in for another outing and then they move on to a more physical connection. But Shahin mother is against him setting to a male mate as it will prevent him from having his own children. In addition there has been past stories of cross-species relationships not working out well. To put the cherry on top, Cai doesn't know that he is a shiftier and the fall out for him is hard at first when he learns it from Shahin mother.

Infinite Blue (ARC) was graciously provided to me by the author for an honest review.

  Infinite Love and Stars

Breathlessly stunned...absolutely amazed...heart-felt beauty..these words have most-recently and delicately embraced me, as I have read one of the best upcoming books I have ever read, as these words still have me glowing from a comfort this book has left for me.  Prior to reading, I had no idea of the staggering overall beauty that would completely encompass me as I would go through this journey.  It took my breath away on more than one occasion as I had felt the need to re-read the words that had quickly turned into such beauty.

Having just read a new upcoming release, Infinite Blue by Natalina Reis, I can say with the utmost amount of certainty that it has taken me by surprise as the fluidity of its descriptive writing being simultaneously interwoven with a gripping and heart-warming plot, this book will definitely not be my last read by this author.

Infinite Blue is a uniquely written shifter story with tons of heart-felt angst and emotions.  It's beautiful writing allows the reader to be one with nature as well as with the characters as well. The storyline is addicting, being led by a plot which contains unforeseen twists and turns that had this reader squealing as well as jumping for joy with fist pumps being interspersed with all sorts of giggle-snort-crying moments.

It's characters took me through a gamut of emotions.  I adored the main characters, Shahin and Cai and could not get enough of them.  Their bond was undeniably unbreakable as well as exquisite. Their devotion, dedication, and, absolute fulfillment for one another was of the utmost incredible and powerful realizations.

The secondary characters were all vastly different ranging from shockingly incorrigible with certain actions stemming from deeply heart-felt heart-break, to others who had me rolling-in-the-isles.

Infinite Blue was a superbly written story, and despite craving more depth in certain areas, and finding the pace to be a bit slow, at first, the story, as a whole, really worked for me.  With its heart-warming, gripping, heart-melting and uniquely-written stunning plot, its wonderful and growing characters, its stellar setting, and an underlying immensely gorgeous theme, I cannot recommend this book enough.

As a reader, reviewer, and, blogger, it is safe to say that when a certain type of indescribable book presents itself, said reader should probably throw-in the proverbial white-flag.  *Throws in flag*  So, speaking for this particular reader, as a book-hangover of all book-hangovers has currently made-itself-known, it is clear to say that..Infinite Blue is one of those rare types-of-books and has landed on my list of Top Books Read for 2018.  I am so glad to have read it..:)

*star rating: 5 'I really, really like it' stars*

Don’t you just love when a book is so good that you read it in two evenings?! “Infinite Blue” grabbed my attention from the first page and I couldn’t put it down.

A wonderful story, showing that love, truly does, conquer all. Shanin and Cai come from two very different worlds, but their souls are drawn to one another, and with a pull and love so strong, no one or nothing can come between them.

A brilliantly fast paced book, that kept me hooked with the intensity of the love that these two characters have for one another.

This brilliant book has reminded me of just how much I love fantasy romance novels and I absolutely cannot WAIT to read more from you!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars from me.....addictive, sexy and intense. Pure perfection

3.7 stars - it was a fun read and I read it in one sitting. Initially, I was assuming it would be at least a 4.5+-star-read for me because I loved the concept and the fact that Shahin was not the usual wolf-, tiger-, leopard- or lion-shifter. I very much enjoyed the banter and innuendos - especially wild and sassy Sha is a hoot! There were very few typos and the author's poetic style and eloquence made it a pleasure to fly through the pages. I also very much appreciated the double POV, even though I slightly preferred Shahin's very " colourful" one to Cai's. Everything was almost completely insta (which is not my favourite type of story), but with the whole soulmate thing it was to be expected and it surprisingly worked for me this time.

On the negative side: both sides, Sha and Cai/Lyra, have mum- and daddy-issues (a bit much for my taste) and Cai remained a bit pale as a character (the painting room was a lovely touch, though). His sister Lyra got on my nerves quite quickly, and - in contrast - Sha's siblings were merely names on the pages 🙄 But all this I could overlook and it did not reduce the stars.

What DID in fact almost kill the story for me (hence 3.7 instead of 4.7 stars!) was Sha's family dynamic, and especially his mum. Really???? The fact that the big issue was so quickly glossed over (and how it was done: with no consequences whatsoever) annoyed me to no end, and I am not even the vindictive type. This was really far-fetched and unconvincing and I would have wished for a more satisfactory resolution ...

3.5 Stars Quick Paranormal Read

While I haven't read anything paranormal in a long time, Infinite Blue was a nice change from my usual reading routine.

Shahin and Cai were lovable characters, however they didn't show much chemistry beyond telling each other they should or shouldn't be together. They were a little cardboard cut out in that aspect, standing there and looking pretty. However, they each had an interesting background and current family life. Cai's sister was hilarious.

Anytime your boyfriend tells you he's a shifter, things are going to get a little weird and it sure did for Cai and Shahin. With Cai being such a normal, almost boring guy, this shifter thing is exactly what he needs, once he believes and understands it. Of course, things are all as they seem, which gives the story the angst it desperately needed.

The book is well written, however Natalina Reis seemed to be scared of the sex scenes. They were heavily talked about, then glossed over when it was time for some action. Along with Cai and Sahhin, thier families also join in to round the story out. Infinaite Blue reads as a stand alone.

A Joyfully Jay review.

2.5 stars

The cover on this story is captivating and when the book opens, we are shown Shahin in his hawk form right away. The fated mates aspect pulled me in for a moment, but then this book went all kinds of wrong for me and was not an enjoyable read.

Shahin is a hawk shifter and has a large family. That’s about all we ever learn of his history or the history of being a shifter and they are dropped into contemporary life without any explanation. Shahin knows Cai is his soulmate, but Cai has no idea about any of this and wants to take things slow. He even invites his sister along on his first date with Shahin. In a soulmates book, the allure for me is that pull that the characters feel the connectionand here it was started and stopped too many times for my liking to appreciate that.

*I voluntarily read this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*

3- 3.5 stars

This was a sweet m/m story with low steam and angst.

The author captured Sha and Cai’s soulmate bond beautifully - it was strong, all consuming and intense.

Cai’s sister was a blast whereas, Sha’s mum was a complete and utter nightmare.

The paranormal aspect of the story was lacking and the rushed/skimmed over sex scenes were disappointing.

There were a few things that bugged me and that’s how quickly Sha forgave his mother and the way he kept questioning Cai’s fidelity.

This was a good read but at times lacked in detail and descriptions.

This male / male paranormal romance is quite a surprising, passionate and sweet read. The strong, compelling characters draw readers into their story and hold them hostage as they try to save their not only their growing love but their lives as well. The relationship is full of suspenseful events that keep reader guessing and the romance is sweet as Shahin and Cai try to strengthen their connection which is being threatened by old secrets and ancient myths. There is lots of sizzling chemistry and steamy passion that heats up the pages of this thrilling story while the intrigue builds anticipation ensuring that readers have to know what will happen next and whether Cai and Shahin will win out over the obstacles that face them. But with betrayals and a couple of surprising twists that the reader doesn’t see coming, the characters are kept in a kind of romantic holding pattern which adds to the emotional turmoil and the intensity of the situation. The characters are opposites in personality but complement each other so readers can really get a feel for them and become completely caught up in this steady paced plot, I was certainly captivated by Cai and Shahin’s story although, I wasn’t completely certain about the way the characters handled the betrayal as I feel that it was a bit anti-climactic, but at the same time it was fitting. The hawk shifters in this story also had a few unique elements they were quite intriguing and changed things up a bit.

*I won a copy of this book from LibraryThing's Early Reviewers program in exchange for an unbiased review. Brief plot spoilers may follow.*

I really enjoyed this book. This was my first M/M romance and what an introduction it was! I loved both Shahin and Cai by themselves, but together they suited each other so well. The 'opposites attract' angle worked for the story the author was trying to tell, and it amplified the individual strengths and attributes that I loved about each character. I really appreciate that the author didn't give into the typical stereotypes surrounding individuals in same-sex relationships by assigning 'roles' to either Cai or Shahin. Both of them were self-assured in their masculinity without one of them having to be overtly feminine to show their positioning in the relationship, which is a trope that usually causes me to forgo reading M/M romances. The angle of them preferring men to women was more of an aside; it was normalized and I liked that a lot. There was this added bit of raw sensuality, at least for me, reading along as Shahin and Cai fell in love.

As for the story itself, I loved that as well. I think it was well-written and the supernatural angle was one I hadn't read before, so I liked the lore and old-world mythical stories surrounding Shahin's curse. The real story however, was much simpler, a bit darker actually, and I enjoyed that as well. A more sinister reason for Shahin's curse that was rooted in reality helped to set Infinite Blue apart from other supernatural stories with a cursed main character. That said, I do agree with a previous reviewer that there were bits of the story that seemed a little contrived and included in the story mainly for the sake of just having some drama, and I wasn't the biggest fan of that. Otherwise, I thought it was a solid and unique plot, I liked that Shahin was a shifter of an animal you don't usually hear with this kind of story, and the build-up wasn't full of filler material. There were unique elements that made the plot more interesting, the supporting characters did just that for the main characters and made the story itself more well-rounded, and ended with a HEA for everyone. It wrapped up neatly and I really appreciate that the author didn't try to drag things out into a series where the book ends with a cliffhanger or loose ends. I didn't notice grammatical issues or problems with the writing style; everything was easy to read, the writing wasn't too flowery and the characters felt well-defined. I'd happily read it again.

Shahin Halcon makes no excuses for whom he is. He also knows what his future holds. Cai Banes seems to be an introvert. In certain situations he seems nervous. We have two people where one knows what he wants and one who’s a little apprehensive – which you might expect as two people get to know each other. Early into this story, our author sticks in a factoid. I checked and it’s true – you learn something new every day.

I liked that Cai had a great support system – made me wish I had a sister. One thing that I found very realistic is that everyone seems to have an opinion. I wanted to help Cai out and tell those people to MYOB. Something else that I found very realistic was that Shahin wants to expand Cai’s experiences. As couples get to know each other they may do something they’ve never done before. One character that you will have no trouble picturing is Shahin’s mother. I was not impressed with how she treated both her son and Cai. But it’s a sad truth as to how a lot of families treat members who want something different. It shows the pain that can happen to the couple – which as an outsider is really sad.

This is a story that shows the fine line between what is real and what is fantasy. Part of what’s real is prejudice of someone who believes a couple should be a certain way – like should be with like. What made me happy is that our couple is willing to fight for what they want and not let all the negativity stop them. Having other family members having their backs also helped. I’m both glad that I had a chance to read this story while discovering a new author. I look forward to checking out more of her work. If you don’t mind reading a story about two men that learn to be comfortable with each other and show how much they love each other than why not give this book a try.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

INFINITE BLUE
By Author Natalina Bell
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 4 Starts
Reviewed by Mandy for Janise Jivin Book Blog

I am lover of all Paranormal Romance and I must say that his was my very first M/M PNR and I greatly enjoyed the Story that Natalina Bell has written. In Infinite Blue Shania halacon is part man part Hawk and has lived his live on the rebel side of things always going against the grain in the family, but soon realizes that he has met his one true love his soul mate for life but it may take some convincing to have his human Soul mate come to terms with his slightly different view of things. But there are so many ups and downs that can’t it are true of what his feelings are?

For Cai Banes to slug thru life not really knowing what true love is only to be heartbroken from time to time, he has met the man of his dreams, but then again is it true what they say that love at first sight is actually true? Cia is so uncertain of his feelings and the pull he feels for his lover Shaina that he is so afraid to let him in but knows there is more than meets the eye to this strange and confounding man before him.

Cai and Sha have had a rough go at it from the Matriarch of the flock that she will do everything to stop the mating of these to soul mates, but can true love conquer all in this Infinite Blue Story, and can they prove her wrong without losing one another to an untold fate?

Nataline Bell has written a truly amazing story and I for one am glad I took a chance on this story, because love conquers all and can overcome all that is thrown in to the face of those who choose to not let you be who you truly are supposed to be.

Mommy Dearest

Wow this was so unexpected. If you enjoy Bird this stories get your copy today! The two MCs couldn't be more different from each other, but something about each made the other intoxicated. What was so interesting to me was the different ways Hawk shifter found to simulate flying when he had to remain in his Human form.

Hawks are Birds of Prey, but there are others who will take one down if possible. Most Hawks don't put themselves in harms way. But this free spirit that is always testing limits, pushing the envelopes, defying convention. But fate has an unkind way of catching up with someone who continuously throws caution to the wind.

Learning that having a Human mate could make him sick, didn't deter this Hawk shifter either. He chose love - death be damned. The misery & illness from being apart was worse than the sickness suffered when they were together. I loved the family dynamic between the brother and sister. As well as the antics between one sister and her long time boyfriend. They were in stark contrast to the less than loving relationships experienced amongst the Hawks even though they all loved with one another.

The Hawk Matriarch would make Joan Crawford lose her title of Minnie Dearest. This heartless harpy or rather Hawk made everyone around her miserable. So they just did what she said. All except her youngest son. He paid dearly for not listening to her warnings.

This was such an entertaining story I will definitely be re-reading it. It flowed so well. It was such an easy book to read because the author held the reader's interest from beginning to end.

I felt for Shahin with his mom. She was trying to protect him but went about it the wrong way.

Sha and Cai are great today. They get one another and their attraction is just wow. Natalina Reis has definitely written a book that is sexy and emotional when it comes to Shahin and his mom. Throughout the book you can see the opposite personalities of Shahin (Sha ) and Cai. Sha is more easygoing and will tell his family what he thinks (sometimes you don’t like how he is with his mom but you understand especially when you see her extent to protecting her heart and her misguided protectiveness) whereas Cai is more responsible and low key. Together they are complete. Cai feels alive again when with Sha and Sha feels more grounded and loved. His excitement to do simple family things is so adorable that it is a gift that Cai and his sister gives him.

The story is one of instalove and in this case it works. We get a little drama but that is because of the way Cai was introduced to Sha’s secret. Once he comes to terms with it you see them love fiercely and get to know each other more. You hate to see Sha and Cai go through the illness and think that it is their love that is harming Sha. But they fight for one another and as secrets and reveals come out you see Cai and Sha help one another through it and come out stronger.

A sexy and entertaining book that has you love Cai, Sha and Cai’s family while hoping that Shahin’s family comes around and sees the love that these two have for one another.

Shifter romance with fated mates is a favorite of mine, and when one of those mates is a human it always piques my interest even more—so that was a definite draw for me to this story. I also liked that the shifter form for this book was a hawk, as it lends a more unique aspect to the usual cast of shifters one finds in most paranormal stories.

I liked both Cai and Shahin’s characters, though I would have liked to have seen some more depth in their development. They did fit well together, with obvious chemistry and genuine caring for each other. There is not a lot of background for the hawk shifters, most of what we learn during the story comes in the last half of the book but still doesn’t paint a complete picture of the species.

The two of them appear to be in a catch-22 situation where they are both drawn to each other and need each other as fated mates, but being together seems to trigger a curse from the myths of the hawk shifter lines, making it seem that their union will only result in pain and death. But there’s something else going on, and while I did figure out what was behind the curse before the reveal, it was still intriguing enough to keep my attention through the end of the book.

The most prominent supporting characters were Cai’s sister and Shahin’s mother. Cai’s sister is a bit nosy and a tad pushy when it comes to his love life, but she’s supportive and lightens things up a bit. Shahin’s mother though…she’s a whole other story. This is one of the few times that I’ll say that I truly despised a character, and while I get that she’s Shahin’s mother, how he handled things with her frustrated me especially at the end of the story.

Infinite Blue was a solid 4-star read for me, and honestly that other star was solely due to Shahin’s mother—her character’s actions, words, and overall personality (and Shahin’s handling of her) affected my enjoyment of the story to the extent that I pulled a whole star from my rating. But everything else and everyone else still made this a really good read, and I think fans of M/M paranormal romance will definitely want to check this out. While the intimate scenes are pretty quick and not too revealing, this story is still meant for readers 18+.

Shahin has found his soul mate. Something he's always scoffed at. Sha is a hawk shifter, he lives to fly. But now that he's found his mate, he soars around him like a stalker, unable to resist the bond. When they finally meet, Sha knows that this human will become his everything.

Cai hasn't had much luck in the romance department. His last boyfriend left him for a woman. He meets a very interesting man in a coffee shop. But his sister has set him up blind date. He reluctantly leaves the man behind. When his blind date turns out to be the same man he can't fight the attraction. When he finds Sha wounded and bleeding on his doorstep both their fates are sealed.

Sha’s overbearing and hateful mother tell him he can't love a human, it will kill him. When Sha becomes sick he doesn't want to believe his mother is right. Sick when he's with Cai, heartsick when he's not with him. He can't believe fate would give him a mate just to separate them.

This was a cute story. The author described the characters very well. I could almost see Cai, with his silver hair and trench coat walking into the coffee shop. I think it would of been better if there had been a bit more of the shifter lore. I liked them together, but needed more information on the fated mate aspect of the story.

Infinite Blue is a standalone story (as far as I can tell), which tells the story of soul mates, and what happens when it is between a shifter and a human. Shahin has been told for years by his mother that it can never happen, but finds his own soul mate in the very human form of Cai. He spends time watching him from afar (admitting to himself how stalkerish his behaviour is!) before actually meeting up with him. Unfortunately, things don't go quite as smoothly as he hoped for. Will he live to see them bond, or will he die to have Cai in his life?

This was a great story, with plenty of humorous moments, as well as heat between the sheets. The "mystery" behind Shahin's illness wasn't too difficult to figure out, but the fun was in watching them figure it out, and what they would do next.

Whilst Cai doesn't have that big a family, Shahin does - and I would love to see more of them. This was a brilliantly written story, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. I found the pacing to be spot on, with plenty of intrigue and humour from one page to the next.

This was a great shifter story, and definitely recommended by me.

* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Infinite Blue had the potential to be an interesting paranormal m/m read, however, it missed the mark for me with a few key elements needing more depth.

The story of a sexy, tattooed shifter finding love with a quiet human really captured my interest. I was looking forward to hot sex scenes, a build-up of angst and perhaps some shifter battling. Unfortunately Infinite Blue, in my opinion, did not deliver the required level of steam, frustration or paranormal elements that a book like this requires.

I did feel a connection to the characters Cai and Shahin. I wanted them to find their HEA together despite their differences. The intimacy between the two lead characters was described in great detail when clothes were on, then once naked the sex scenes were rushed. Most times the scene ended almost as soon as it began. I was left wanting more.

I feel the book would have benefitted from having a focus on the paranormal aspect of the story. Apart from having an unusual name and the ability for Shahin to change into a hawk, there was little detail on the shifters world and how they functioned alongside humans or interacted with other shifters.

If you like more of a sweet m/m love story with a slight paranormal twist you will probably enjoy Infinite Blue.

Genre: Romance - M/M, Shifter (Hawk)
Standalone: Yes
Part of a Series: I don't think so

4/5

Infinite Blue was a fun romance about opposites coming together to find love and trust. I liked that the author showed both acceptance but also reluctance of family accepting their sexuality. Shahin's family both accepted his sexuality but also his mom wanted grand babies and was encouraging hm to have babies first and then follow his heart. Seems like that could be a common issue.

I also like the issues of interspecies dating and the family dynamics (both Cal's and Shahin's), the use of language/terminology (mate, hatchling, flock, etc) when Shahin refers to his family.

While I guessed some of the mystery aspects of this book it was quite fun overall. One thing that stood out was that Infinite Blue did not end where you think it would end, instead we got a few a more chapters of their love and relationship. Overall this book was quite fun and I'd read another by Natalina Reis (this is my first by her).

I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. I have only ever read wolf shifter books and was intrigued with this hawk shifter. I love the storyline of fated mates and I liked that in this story, Cai was human but could still feel that pull of his soulmate in Shahin. There were a few times when they seemed to mention times that Cai and Shahin spent together that were not shown in the book. I do wish we got to see more of them getting to know one another. Even without that, the insta-love works because of them being soulmates.

I liked the storyline with Shahin's mom, it kept things interesting, even though I pretty much loathed her. I do think that Shahin forgave her a little too easily but I still felt like the story was believable. This book did have the expected dramatics in the last 90% of the book but it was over insanely quickly so it did not bother me.

Cai and Shahin were both good and sweet characters with just enough sass. Cai's sister, Lyra, was a funny side character who was pretty much a firecracker. I wish we could have gotten more of a good side from Shahin's family like we got from Cai's. Even with that tiny bit of drama towards the end of the book, I loved the last scene. It was sweet and it was just a nice way to finish off the story.

My Thoughts.
Hi Friends, this story was very instalove, different and if I had read it about 8 years ago I would have loved it so hard, over the years my reading taste have changes a lot. I still enjoy instalove stories, its just that I don't read a lot of them anymore. This book was cute, we get a little drama, and that was because the human in this world did not know that supernatural species exist. Cai and Sha's relationship started out rocky, and then we get a mysteries illness, but they fight for each other, and the secrets and reveals that come out at the end were a good spin on things. I did enjoy my time with this story, overall I gave it a 2.5 stars. This is a little sexy, and entertaining that will take you no time to read. This was my first book by the author, and I will look at her other work in the suture.

I also read this book for the #winterathongbingo19 challenge, the prompt was for the LGBTQ square.

Shahin Halcon is following a man he believes to be his soul mate. He knows he needs to meet him but for now he watches him from above and hopes to have a chance soon.
Cai Banes is single, and his sister has one more person to set him up on a blind date with. Reluctantly Cai agrees to head to dinner with the man but when he stops off to grab a coffee he is immediately attracted to a man inside the coffee shop.
When Shahin and Cai meet their attraction is instant, but Cai has been burned before and wants to take things slow. But Shahin has secrets and a family that wants him to have kids and what will happen when Cai learns the truth?
I enjoyed the book but I found at times I needed a little bit more depth but that being said others will love the book.
I liked Shahin and I wanted to know more about him sooner than what was revealed. You received glimpses but were never sure until things got to a certain point. I loved the Falcon aspect as that was very original from other books I have read and I really did appreciate that.
Cai was interesting as I found although he wanted to go slow part of him was very eager for more and I was worried for sure about him hurting Shahin and not the other way around. I really liked Cai’s sister Lyra and thought she was a blast!
Cai and Shahin definitely had chemistry and some of that can be due to the pull of soul mates although I presume Cai had no clue about any of that initially.
So I did not care of Shahin’s mom as she did not respect him and what he wanted for himself. I guessed the twist ahead of time but it was still disappointing when my guess was right. Although I was not expecting the other twist that was revealed after Shahin talks with another family member.
The end was good and I liked what Cai was planning. - By Rebecca

Sweet! I've volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. This author is new to me and now I'm hooked. The book is exciting and a page turner, I had to know how it ended. Cai and Shahin are drawn to each other. The author did a wonderful job with each characters. Shahin is a hawk shiftier who has found his soul mate in Cai. Natalina captive the soulmate bond beautifully. This book is so strong, all consuming and intense. If you love reading M/M and a shiftier book then this is the perfect one for you. Keep up the awesome work! I can't wait to read more from you. I recommend this book.

Aww 5 Stars.🌟 This was a gorgeous story one to get your emotions going. The characters Shahin and Cai great together. Humour, drama, sexy sexy scenes, lies and betrayal and twists included. I disliked Shahin's mother and what she was doing. A fantastic ending and yah I may have dived for the tissues in this. Beautifully written scenes with all characters adding to the story.  This was a first read for this author and wont be the last I'm hooked now.
Shahin 29 yr and had spotted his mate as he flew in his hawk self. Cai was his mate and didn't know it yet.. Cai has sexy silver hair 35 yrs and was to be set up by his sister for a blind date..

Awesome once loved and betrayed and loved again.

At first it was hard to get into the story or the characters you knew them but they seem flat and lifeless but as the story kept going new characters coming in both good and bad the story took a major turn and the characters came alive and you came apart of the story. You find yourself not able to stop reading the story and withing the best for the young couple.
I highly recommend the book just be ready for a ride of your life with many surprises as you read and live the story as it unfolds.

As a big fan of shifter romance novels I was excited to read about a hawk shifter. You rarely ever see those so it was a good treat. Add in the MM aspect and I was sold. The pace of the story wasn’t too fast and it also kept me reading until I finished. I will admit that it was fairly predictable to me. I’m not saying that there wasn’t a hint of mystery because there was, but the author left a lot of clues that made it hard to stay a mystery, and maybe she didn’t want to have that as a huge aspect. Either way, o really like Cai and Shahin’s story. This was the first book by this author that I’ve read but I liked it so I would be willing to read more. 4 stars #2OCCJD

so overall this was really good.. i enjoyed it.. there were a few times that i got confused though... i had a hard time following at times.. it might have been me.. or the storyline i'm not sure to be honest.. but the plot itself is really good.. i love different type of shifters.. this one was hawk.. and that was so much fun.. this was def not an erotic type story.. i felt like the sex scenes could have been a bit more.. but overall i really enjoyed it. it was funny in spots.. and i felt for the characters.. i also got mad for them at times..
