Omg love love love it! 😍😍

You honestly can't go wrong with a tale of a prince who falls in love with an ordinary citizen.

Prince Henry is what the people call the Playboy Prince, because of his reputation of being flirty with the women of the country. And due to his handsome features and charming personality, he is the main spotlight in the royal family.
And yet, as much as he likes having the attention, he also likes his privacy. Which leads him to drive away without no guards and publicity, but

Second time through I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it just as much! And after reading the following books in the series, then coming back to reread/listen to this one, it was fun catching the little hints and references (foreshadowing) for what was to come for the different characters.

Definitely a book and series I will continue to enjoy as well as recommend to others!

Who doesn't love a royal love story? This is book six in the Royal Secrets series which is written by 3 different authors, but I think each book can be read on it's own, I know this one can.

Adrianne is a social worker who runs a pilot program at one of the hospitals to help children who are hospitalized for long periods of time, with their reading so they don't fall behind while they're missing school. She has a soft spot in her heart for these children because she was one of them when she was

I LOVE a fun, sweet story about a prince and an everyday girl. Because, hello? Don't most girls dream of becoming a princess someday? Okay...maybe that was just me...

Prince Harry...oops! I meant, Prince Henry and Adrianne meet in an interesting way and her first reaction to him was priceless. He's not used to girls not fawning all over him, but Henry is finally ready to grow up and take some royal responsibility and what better way to do so than working on a project that Adrianne is closely inv

Rating: 2.5/5.0

“Rescuing the Prince” has a nice, creative beginning, with a commoner meeting the very prince on whom she has had a crush since she was eight.

Prince Henry's story is finally here!

Henry is the youngest Somerset brother and the third in line for the throne of Durham (until Alex and Stefan start having kids :D)
We've seen a little of him in the other books and the media calls him the Playboy Prince. It doesn't bother him until he meets Adrianne (the way they meet is so funny!), who's the first girl he's interested in but she doesn't reciprocate.

These two have a lot of sparks and it was so much fun to write their story!

Sweet, Gentle Romance

I know this is book six in this series but I haven't read any of the other books. I felt this book did an excellent job of standing on its own and definitely peaked my interest in the rest of the series that is written by three different authors.

This is a gentle, sweet story. I liked the first met between Henry and Adrianne which set into motion a whole string of events, all revolving around a program for children, that provided plenty opportunities for interactions and fall

I always know I'm in for a treat when I pick up a book by Lucinda Whitney. I also know that I'm probably in for a later night than I expected because I won't be able to put it down. Well, yes and yes - both were true again.

I loved Prince Henry and Adrianne's meeting, especially that she didn't just fall all over him. I enjoyed watching as he found purpose and she slowly began to trust him and his motives. Henry is an amazing, good guy with a big heart. Adrianne is passionate and full of love for

Beneath her cold demeanor, Henry sees an intriguing woman whom he’d like to know more, but when she recognizes him, she’s quick to ask for his royal sponsorship.

Adrianne Blake is no stranger to disappointment. Now in charge of a pilot program at the community medical center, she’s in dire need of help or dozens of childre

I absolutely loved this story! I loved the strong heroine who could rescue the prince when he ran out of gas. I loved Adrianne's cause of advocating literacy for those children who are hospitalized. As an elementary teacher I'm a strong advocate for literacy. I loved the whimsical banter between the heroine and the hero. I also loved how allowing second chances to happen can heal relationships. Anyone who loves fairy tale romances and happily ever after will love this book! I highly recommend th ...more

Prince Henry Somerset is the third prince of Durham. He's gotten his degree, he's served in the military, but now he is sort of aimless. The media has dubbed him "The Playboy Prince," and he sees no reason not to live up to that moniker.
A chance meeting on a deserted road changes the course of his life. He finds the purpose his mother has been urging him to find. Can he become a new man, or will his past rear interrupt his plans for the future?
I loved Prince Henry. He was charming, and down to e

I am all for contemporary love stories about Royals, and this book was no exception! It had everything I like in a sweet and clean romance; a dash of humor, a sprinkle of mishaps, and topped with all the feels 😍

I was gifted a promo code for this on audible, so this was the first book in the series that I read (yes I know it is the 6th) and it actually read really well as a standalone. I didn’t feel confused since each book focuses on one set of couples from the royals family. After listening to

Rescuing the Prince is the 6th book in the Royal Secrets series, but it can be read as a standalone. This is a sweet clean read with a spotlight on kids in hospitals and some of the challenges they face.

Adrianne, in trying to protect her heart, comes across as being rude at times, which made me cringe. She's a pessimist, so that does make some sense. Henry, on the other hand, is open and friendly, although he's also smug and proud! His playboy persona is explained in the story, but not in a bel

An entitled young prince and a hardworking social worker meet on a lonely road. For once the prince isn't the one to do the rescuing, but the young lady foots the bill for his carelessness. Prince Henry wants to become involved in Adrianne's charity project but he soon realises that lack of preparation and carelessness lead not only to disaster, but also broken hearts. One cannot help but cheer Henry on as he tries to redeem himself and although Adrianne takes the brunt of his errors, she is a s ...more

I love the "Royal Secrets" series.
Adrianne is a very serious minded social worker at a hospital who is also developing a reading program for underprivileged, long term pediatric patients.
Prince Henry is the third son of the King and Queen, also known as "The Play Boy Prince". Whether he is a Playboy or not depends on who is interpreting his behavior. He said himself that he doesn't sleep around but he has been kissed a lot.
After a chance meeting between Henry and Adrianne, he agrees to help her

The author has built a story of wonderful characters with a sweet romance. Her words are expressive and detailed so the reader feels like the proverbial "fly on the wall".  Henry, third in line to the throne of Durham, meets a social worker when his car runs out of fuel and he is left stranded on the side of the road. Adrianne is overseeing a reading program for longterm hospitalized children that is in desperate need of funding. Prince Henry is pressured by his family to find a charitable cause ...more

You cannot always believe what you read in the press or see on television. That is what Adrianne Blake slowly finds out in this story. When she stops to help a stranded motorist on a lonely road, Adrianne discovers Prince Henry, the grown-up version of the little boy who visited her in the hospital when she was eight years old and had just lost both her parents.
Will she believe that he is trying to change or will she just be hurt by empty promises of aid for the charitable foundation which she r

I absolutely fell in love with this book:) I loved the heroine rescuing the Prince as he ran out of gas. I really liked how Adrianne wasn't overly awed by the Prince. I loved her fighting for literacy for those children who are hospitalized. Since I'm an elementary teacher, I am also an advocate for literacy. So good. Probably my favorite so far in the series. They just keep getting better and better.
I love how the author is authentic to her style but also weaves the storyline so well that the other books are still being portrayed as part of the series.
I really enjoyed the growth and learned humility of each character and how they were able to forgive each other.

A great book about Prince Henry and Adrianne, a very good read. I found it very refreshing that Adrianne knew right from the beginning that Henry was a prince, whereas a lot of books the royal keeps it quiet as to who they are and then the other person is very offended later when they discover so this was nice for this book! A clean read, good romance. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review

Love the characters and the pacing. The back and forth was just right.

I really love that Adrianne wasn't impressed with the prince when they met... and that he realized there was something different about her that he wanted to get to know.
I love how the old neighbor just knows that there's more to Prince Henry than the media portrays.

The whole story was wonderful!

Rescuing the Prince by Lucinda Whitney is the first book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed her style and her story. This is a quick, sweet and clean read. This is the story of Prince Henry Somerset and Adrianne Blake. Even though the media has dubbed him The Playboy Prince he has found a cause he can support and does his best. After a crisis that ruins his plans, he does everything he can to make it right. Adrianne is not sure of his motives since she sees what the media says about ...more

While I was fairly confident I knew what the conflict was going to be between the main characters (and I was right), this ended up to be one of my favorites of the Royal Secrets series. The "Playboy Prince" meets a nice social worker who had a crush on him at 8 years old but her older self knows there can be nothing between them but the charity project to raise money for her program. I liked seeing Prince Henry show his responsible and caring side and find his place in royal society.

This was another great addition to the Royal Secrets series. I loved the stories in this series before they revealed they were actually other authors, who I had read books by as well.

Prince Henry and Adrianne, a commoner, meet on the side of the road. What adventures await them, and will they be able to have their own HEA?

I may have rounded up because I loved Henry. I seriously should have named a son Henry because this is the second book I've read recently where I fell in love with Henry. For me, this book read like a hallmark movie. I haven't read any of the others in the series and though I would like to find out about their lives, it isn't necessary to enjoy this book. However, there is a bit of a lead into the next book at the end of this one. Both characters changed for the better and a happily ever after m ...more

A Perfect Cinderella Story

A perfect Cinderella story, with handsome prince and beautiful commoner each realigning expectations as they strive to cope with their mutual attraction. The story flows and sweeps you happily to its conclusion while throwing in a few tidbits about the royals who inhabit the other novels in this delightful series, each of which, nonetheless, stands entirely on its own.

Rescuing the Prince is Lucinda Whitney’s sixth addition to the Royal Secrets series. I enjoyed this story. I love the chemistry between Prince Henry Somerset and Adrianne Blake. They were so much fun together. I give this delightful, quick read four and a half stars.
I had the pleasure of reading this book for a second time by listening to the audio version. Christine Dylan did a fantastic job bringing Henry and Adrianne's story to life. Her performance was perfect.
