This book is quite old and it shows. I feel that I did learn some valuable information about snakes, but some of the outdated information could be deadly. The treatment for snakebites is NOT what is recommended in 2022. If you are every unsure how to react to snake bites or animal reactions look up that info with NPS, poison control or CDC for recs not a book published in the 50's. Other than that the descriptions of snake behavior and ecology hasn't changed much. Might read a more "modern" rattlesnake book as comparison.
