I chain read these three stories and couldn't put any of them down until I was finished. It helps to read Just A Friend before reading Finding Kate, but it's not necessary.

Finding Claire #1 - Mesmerizing! Heartbreaking! I dislike stories about kidnappings, but this one was written in a way that was beautiful and heartbreaking. The kidnapping was just a foundation for a wonderful story. This book is a fast paced, well written suspense with realistic characters and dialogue and an interesting plot

This third book is Alex and Kate's happily ever after, but not without complications, of course, you know Alex and Kate, nothing is simple for them.  Except their love.  I love Alex and Kate together and their friends, Becca and DJ.  In this book we meet Marisa, Alex's sister.  She's similar to Alex, but more mysterious.  You know she is hiding something, but just not sure what.  You definitely need to read the first 2 books.  The first 2 books are amazing and you will be lost in this book witho ...more

I was worried how book #3 would compare to the first two in the series (because they were fantastic) but I was pleasantly surprised and really loved Finding Treasure! I loved revisiting favorite characters, and the history is just as rich in this book as the previous two. The historical perspective adds depth to the story, and there is a level of suspense throughout the entire book that kept me guessing. This book is an excellent addition to a wonderful series that I highly recommend to everyone ...more

This is the third novel in Humphrey’s Hill Country series. There wasn’t as much suspense as there was in the previous two books. This had more of a romance theme. It was still a delightful story. The ancestry aspect added a nice side story to the book. I look forward to reading more novels by this author.

Well, this one really surprised me. I enjoyed the Texas history lesson that wove throughout the story. That part fits very well with the actual story of Kate & her new business. The ending was not at all what I would have expected. A very great conclusion to this series that I enjoyed very much.

I read all three books in this series - one right after the other. I couldn't put them down. I love the way Pamela Humphrey builds her stories. Not only do you have an intriguing story line, but you also pick up the history behind the story as you read about Claire and how she escapes her captors. The plot thickens as she meets Alex and they attempt to unravel the mystery of her life, who is after her, and who she really is. It builds into a very complicated story full of many layers.
