A wonderful book set in Alberta during the depression years about a widower, his two children Little Joe and Babe and their grumpy uncle. Joe wishes he had money to buy his two motherless children clothes and toys as he did before the depression when their mother was still alive. A funny yet touching book on life in the Alberta prairie during the depression
