The book is divided into a several main sections for ease of reference: Hydrodynamics and Bedforms; Present?Day Channel Processes; Facies Models; and Economic Aspects. Geographical and geological investigations are also described in Modern and Ancient Fluvial Systems. Research articles include the topics of bedforms and structures near the transition between dunes and a plane bed, as well as the vertical and lateral relationships between five major delta distributary channels.
