It's a must-have for your library and mind.
First, remember that this is a 1967 version and history changes on a daily basis. That should not diminish the rating and maybe a benefit of seeing the picture from a 60’s view. Second, it has one man’s name on it John L. McKenzie; in the preview is a hand full of other names. So, the information opinion may be limited. Still, the whole purpose is to give an opinion to contrast with what you are thinking.
The book includes:
Both the Old Testament (Hebrew Scriptures) and New Testament are based on several references.
2000 articles covering every book in the Bible
Major themes and concepts
Characters of the Bible
Ancient civilizations of the Near East
Geography of the Biblical Lands
Over 200 charts and illustrations (all black and white)
Be prepared to turn the pages back and forth reading the references as you go.
