This book was loaned to me from a colleague and I'm very glad to have read it. This book has pretty much everything that a new children's librarian needs. It's broken down into age groups, with a quick discussion of what developmental aspects each age has before giving several sample programs. There are songs, fingerplays, topics, and patterns for crafts/props. This book would definitely be a strong resource to have in anyone's collection and I can definitely see myself using it in the future.
