Schippertainment: Life as a Schipperke Owner

Rate this book
The stories in this book are about life and death and all the strange and wonderful stuff that goes on in-between. Some are memoirs, some are about the day to day occurrences of life with dogs, and some are just plain 'out there!'. They all have one thing in You won't forget them. The engaging stories are accompanied by illustrations of Schipperkes by Illustrator Amy Curran. A must for every human that loves their four legged friends.

I love Schipperke's! I have one myself. My Nike was given to me as a "free dog". Reading a book about the breed, which are rare, was amazing. I love hearing the stories of what the breed does and how crazy they are. They are so unique and perfect. Such a great book Richard Davis. I can't wait to read more about your Schipperke's.

Some quotes that I loved from the novel:

"I have unlimited hot water now. So, I can wait. I will stalk them. I will lull them into a false sense of security." (When talking about giving Davis Schipperke's a bath)

"All of the season, well-trained owners know to never run after your Schipperke if they happen to loose from their leashes or leads." (This statement is so true!)

"Scipperkes love wet legs. And arms and hair. They diligently began drying those spots." (I thought mine was the only one!)

Schippertainment is a warm, witty, and heartfelt tribute to life with one of the most spirited dog breeds on earth. Richard Davis captures the Schipperke’s charm with irresistible humor, unforgettable anecdotes, and a level of emotional honesty that makes each story glow. His writing celebrates the chaos, companionship, and tenderness that only a devoted dog owner can truly understand.

This collection doesn’t just entertain, it connects. With every page, Davis offers readers a reminder of why our pets become family. It’s a delightful, uplifting read that dog lovers of all kinds will treasure.
