4.5 - "…All these years later." Stars!

Nothing Without You is one of the novellas’ included in the Big Sky, Crossover Collection, and I loved getting to finally read Cunningham Falls cake making extraordinaire Maisey Henderson’s story.

"He’s here temporarily… Soon he’ll go back home to California and forget all about me."

But it also reminded me of how much I love Monica Murphy’s writing, idiot that I am, it’s been far too long since I read anything by her. So after getting to know footballer Tuck

Out of the 3 books I got from the series to review, Nothing without you was my least favorite (Crazy Imperfect Love by K.L. Grayson was the best for me with Worth Fighting For by Laura Kaye coming second). Recently, I got a lot of books (certainly more than I would like) where the hero is the one who has slept with half the town, while the heroine has very limited experience and this book was the cherry on the top. At least it was short and they brought that up no more than 5 times. I told you a ...more

I have been excited to get Maisey’s story since Tempting Brooke. She is Brooke’s sister and owner to cake shop next to her flower shop. Maisey has a fierce, strong independent personality. It is clear from the moment she spots Tucker back in town she has some serious unresolved feelings towards him and their past. Tucker, a NFL star is back in Cunningham Falls 10 years after he left, breaking Maisey’s heart by leaving her and ending their teenage relationship. He has some serio

This was such a sweet second chance romance. Maisey and Tucker’s characters were beautiful and so relatable and loved their connection and chemistry. These two were childhood sweethearts and due to certain circumstances went in different directions . The story was beautifully written and even though I haven’t read any books by this author or in Forever Yours series I still enjoyed it and would be reading other books in this series. I only wish the story was tad bit longer. I received an advance ...more

A wonderful second chance romance as Tucker McCloud returns to Cunningham Falls runs into his high school sweetheart, Maisey Henderson, and quickly realizes leaving her might have been the biggest mistake of his life. Can he convince her to give them another chance?

I'm a sucker for a swoon-worthy second chance romance and that's exactly what you get with this read! Tucker and Maisey's story was one about rekindling that first love and realizing you never stopped loving the one........ the one that you let go when you should have been holding on tighter. I if you want a sweet, sexy quick read grab this book in the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection.

Maisey Henderson has lived in Cunningham Falls, Montana all her life and now she's a business owner and she can't see herself living anywhere else. Tucker McCloud is from Cunningham Falls and he left after high school to go play football in college then get drafted to the NFL. In high school, Maisey and Tucker were in love and thought they would be together forever but he left her and town without a backwards glance. Now years later, Tucker is back in town for his parents' anniversary and on his ...more

Nothing Without You is a short sweet second chance romance.

I’ve got to be honest, Tucker is a bit of a douche, at the start especially as he had broken-up with Maisey when he went to college and has fully embraced the bachelor life ever since. Although, as the story progresses, so does Tucker’s emotional growth. The realisation that Maisey is the one and only person to ever own his heart and always will be. He only has to convince her of his sincerity before he has to return to his career o

Maisey and Tucker's love story is bittersweet. After what Tucker did to her in high school, I don't blame Maisey for being upset with him. After not seeing each other since Tucker had graduated fro high school years before, they accidentally run each other while he is home for a family get together. Tucker realizes he still feels a strong connection to Maisey and wonders if she will be interested in getting together. At first Maisey doesn't want to because she feels so much hurt and resentment t ...more

Nothing Without You is a beautiful second chance romance. Maisy has been helping others celebrate their HEA with beautiful cakes. Now she has Tucker, a beautiful football player, to give her what she deserves. He blew it many years ago when he broke up with her, took his football and run. Let the beautiful groveling begin.

I am loving all the books in the crossover collection. I am a big fan of the Big Sky series. I really like how so many more of the wonderful characters that Kristen Proby has c

4 stars for the sweet second chance romance!

Maisey and Tucker were childhood sweethearts but circumstances lead their lives in different directions.
This was a quick read and I would have liked it to be longer. I enjoyed reading about Tucker grovelling and trying his best to be forgiven for his betrayal. This book was low drama and angst and just a sweet read.

Why, oh why did I leave this so long to read…? I loved it, while really quick it was jam packed with all the delicious goodies of a romance with the perfect second chance. As a first book read from this author, I certainly want so many more. She has a perfect knack with writing and characters that I wanted this one to never end. Tucker and Maisy were the complete package.

This doesn't seem to be the best this author can write. I've read lots of her books but this just has high school boyfriend returning to hometown where his ex high school girlfriend still lives. Second chance? Yes or no?
That's it.

In Tempting Brooke, Brooke Henderson, the flower shop owner, was about to lose her shop because the new owner of the property thought of selling everything.
While Brooke was successful with her flowers, her sister made fame with her divine cakes.

But if Maisey's professional life was well, her love life was in suspension. All because a few years ago, in high school to be more exact, she had her heart broken by her boyfriend who, when getting a scholarship, thanks to the sport, did not think twice

I've been hoping Maisie gets a story from the Big Sky series and I'm glad she has here. Although I felt like she was short changed a bit because it's very novella like it was a complete story. Second chance romances are always good. Tucker and Maisie had so much history and feelings left over it was easy to fall back in. So while not as angsty as Monica's other books it still had that kick when came to figure out where their rekindled relationship was going. The doubts of could they mak
This story had the elements of a great romance book: good length, dual POV, interesting premise but the the execution did not work. The writing was not good for me and listened to one hour and the story felt too long and the dialogue too immature. I couldn't finish it.

I want more!!! I didn’t get enough of Maisey and Tucker.

Nothing Without You is a novella in Kristen Proby’s Crossover Collection. But it is also a part of Monica’s Forever Yours Series. I thought this was a perfect gem for Kristen’s collection of stories. I loved being back in Cunningham Falls.

This novella is a second chance romance that is told in Dual POV. It is a standalone for each of these series. Yo

Nothing Without You is a Forever Yours 2.4/ Big Sky 4.4 novella (Kristen Proby Crossover Collection book 5) written by Monica Murphy.

This book takes place in the Big Sky community of Cunningham Falls, Montana and brings back a character (Maisey Henderson- Brooke’s sister) from a previous Big Sky novella- Tempting Brooke. Maisey Henderson, is a cake designer/decorator and a resident in Cunningham Falls, MT. She has struggled off and on since high school, but has built a successful small business

Nothing without You is a novella in the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection. This story crosses Monica Murphy’s Forever Yours series with Kristen’s Big Sky series. I have read and loved each of series’ so I was dying to get my hands on this collection.

Nothing Without You is part of the Kristen Proby crossover collection. I’m not familiar with Monica Murphy’s Forever Yours world, or Kristen Proby’s Big Sky world, in fact Monica Murphy is a new to me author.

Nothing Without You is a second chance romance, which I admit is one of my least favorite tropes. Thankfully this is written pretty well. I really liked the duel point of view, and the time we get with each character is pretty even. Maisey is a small town business owner, and Tucker the home

What could be better than a second chance romance set in one of my favorite series… nothing I can think of! As a long time reader of Kristen Proby’s novels, I was excited to get the chance to read her Big Sky cross-over series. I have never read anything by Monica Murphy and now cannot wait to dive into many more of her books. This story was short and sweet but packed a punch of heat.
This story focused on Maisey and Tucker. Fans of Proby will remember her as Brooke’s younger sister from Tempting

The author put a lot into this little novella, I am just not sure that it was quite enough for me…greedy I know but I would have liked a little more.
I liked Maisey, she was down to earth, a woman who was happy in her own skin for the most part. She had, had her time with Tucker when they were teenagers and even now almost 15 years later, she still found the fact that he dropped her like a stone when they were just 18 impossible to forgive…for now! But changing up how she feels isn’t eas

Another installment in the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection. I'm really enjoying the concept and fascinating to see how the authors incorporate their ideas into an already established universe they didn't create.

I've read Monica Murphy before and enjoyed her books. Unfortunately, this novella fell a little flat for me. I didn't not like it but I also found Tucker incredibly annoying and dramatic. And he and everyone else know he's dramatic but it was a little over the top. I loved Maisey and

Maisey loves her job designing wedding cakes and she always made sure that the bride left her shop with the cake of her dreams. Living and working in her hometown was great, but sometimes she wondered what might have been. She had been crazy about Tucker in high school and they were inseparable. Spoiler Alert...Nothing Without You is my very first read from Monica Murphy! I enjoyed this sweet second-chance romance.

There was something so sweet about Maisey and it wasn't her cakes. It was the way she tried to help everyone. Her kindness. The way she built her business from the ground up. But she was lonely. And when the boy who had broke her heart comes back to town as all man, she can't stop staring. Even though she wants to. Even though she knows letting Tucker into her life isn't a goo

Nothing Without You is a sweet read. I have enjoyed Monica Murphy books in the past and I was eagerly looking forward to Nothing Without You.

Maisey is a cute and sassy character that is trying to move on with her life after a high school heartbreak. However, no one seems to fit the bill for who or what she is looking for. Unfortunately for Maisey, the one that broke her heart, Tucker, comes back to town for a family function and turns Maisey's world upside down.
