Reichenbaugh mixes humor, salty police language, and good old fashioned storytelling in a concise account of the Beltway Sniper case. He avoids the pitfalls of many true crime books, especially those written from the law enforcement point of view: he doesn’t burden readers with industry jargon, nor does he insult the reader with “what the public doesn’t know is…” Clearly, Reichenbaugh has a knack for telling a good story.

Police procedural which describes in detail the three week legal search for the two men who randomly shot people on the street in the Greater DC area. The residents in the target area were afraid to go outside. Interesting that not every critical piece of information was shared between law enforcement agencies who competed with each other. Final resolution occurred following a tip by a civilian.

Interesting. I wish he’d included some if the interrogation and trial stuff. I want to know what those guys were all about. Like, what was the goal or the reason?
