This gave me a great review of this part of the Bible. The books are in the Bible in this order, but they hop around on the historic timeline enough to make things confusing. The author helps by giving the setting of each book. There are plenty of warnings to people who seem never to learn. There was some emphasis on helping widows, orphans, the homeless, the poor in among the bloody battles and one-sided patriotism.
