Wayfair Witches #1–3 omnibus

Wayfair Witches: Books 1-3

Rate this book
A collection of the first three books in the Wayfair Witches' series. Meet Wanda and her coven of supernatural sleuths.

Book One: Bottling It
Book Two: Bricking It
Book Three: A Trick for a Treat

Book One: Bottling It
Wanda Wayfair is a bit of a late starter.

At almost twenty-one she still hasn't received her magical powers, and she's running out of time. But that doesn’t bother Wanda. Much. Not when she can spend all of her time in the human world and pretend that her coven doesn’t exist. But when Wanda takes a job at Berrys' Bottlers, working with the handsome Will Berry and his unpleasant Aunt Alice, she soon realises that she's a lot closer to the magical world than she thought.

All over Dublin, humans are murdering witches. When asked why, all they'll say is, 'I dunno why I done it.' But Wanda thinks she does know why they’ve done it – and hopefully she’ll receive her power in time to help her coven discover the truth.

Book Two: Bricking It
All her life, Wanda thought that things would be better once she received her magical powers. Turns out, not so much.

The Minister for Magical Law is insisting that Wanda go back to school before she can become a working member of the Wayfair coven. Oh, and she’s also insisting that Wanda perform no magic at all until she’s passed all of her tests.

But Wanda’s coven needs her now more than ever. Witches are going missing, and skeletons are turning up in closets and changing rooms all over Ireland. Will Wanda stick to the Minister’s rules, or will she risk it all to help the people she loves?

Book Three: A Trick for a Treat
It’s Wanda’s first Halloween at home for years, but that doesn’t mean she gets to enjoy the holiday. A famous werewolf has disappeared, and his girlfriends are getting knocked off one by one. Murder and mayhem might be all in a day’s work for the Wayfair coven, but this time the stakes are higher than ever. This time, Wanda’s own friends are under suspicion.

Wanda needs to discover the real culprit, and she needs to do it fast – otherwise the people she cares about could spend their lives behind bars. Oh, and while she’s at it, she also needs to pass another few of the Minister’s tests. But who ever said that being a witch was easy?

A witch with no powers

This set of books was very entertaining. I enjoyed the humor in them. A girl born go be a famous witch, but with go powers was a really good was took start the mystery series, because it's A new way to think about witches. To have the judge and all the teachers against passing your tests put a real twist in the stories and made it very frustrating for Wanda to do the job she was born to do. This lighthearted series was just what I needed to read while dealing with the stress in my life.

Fun series

This is witchy without being overly dark. There's bad guys and dastardly deeds, but all in appropriate measures. I can even recommend it for middle school readers who enjoyed the Harry Potter series . No, it's not quite as exciting, but what else does compare. I plan to read the entire series since I enjoy the fantasy realm when the author doesn't go to the dark side.

All in a name

I am Wanda” myself so the book grabbed me that way. Ya first I was having trouble with some of the mystical words, but it grows on you. Liked all the creative ways of bringing the various cultures together. Dislike still as much racism as in today. This is a book for older teenagers and up. I hope the author continues with the Wayfarer and gives it full closure.

Stopped at 18%. For a book with a 21-year-old MC, it's written like a middle grade book. While I don't mind a sassy FMC who speaks her mind, with that writing style, it's jarring to have her always lusting over her boss every couple of pages. I have to remind myself over and over that she's 21. And also, despite having read what must be nearly half of Book 1 (maybe more?), I don't care enough about the characters or their struggles to continue.

Good books

Warlocks, werewolves (and weredogs!), witches, wizards, vampires, familiars (cats, dogs, bats, parrots, and even a python!) and evil doers doing evil deeds! Ok, so it’s not great literature, but they are an amusing and fun read. I enjoyed them very much and look forward to the next installment. Recommend these very much.

Delightful Series

Wayfair Witches mysteries is everything you could hope for in a fun to read series.

If I would have had the entire set on hand, I would have read straight through to the end.

Humor, tragedy, and heart warming combine to give the reader a very pleasant experience.

loved it, lived it, loved it

A wonderful new world of supernaturals has been very cleverly created, the descriptions are so good, it’s like watching it all happening. In good verses evil there is nothing typical about these stories. Throw in some thoroughly mixed up burgeoning romances and it’s a series you won’t want to stop reading.

Witchy woo

Loved the characters. Wanda is the main one but her family are there too. Though in this family is extended to others. Good stories within these three books. Villains and soft characters galore.

Love

I adore this series. The quirky character are hysterical and the mysteries are sophisticated enough to keep me turning the pages. I will admit I'm not a fan of the primary romantic interest...I'm cheering on for the Shifter.

Worryingly good

Really enjoyed these books, serious crimes but with lots of personality, relationships and differences in supernatural types, a different view on inter-race relations, with a lot of fun and occasions along the way

"Cozy" read!

Cute stories! Paranormal books are absolutely awesome. These stories are absolutely fantastic. Even though I am way beyond the young age these books are probably written for I think all age groups will enjoy.

Good cozy read

Enjoyed books 1-3 but almost stopped mid thought. I know they want to lead you into the rest of the books but the abrupt end actually did the opposite. I had planned to buy at least 4-6 set but after this I'm choosing to move on to something else.

Very fun, very easy read. I like that there is some originality to this magical world. Wanda Wayfair is an easy-to-like protagonist and a very realistic young woman. Mystery plus magic is a win for me. All three stories are quite good.

A fun easy read. A world of witches, warlocks, werewolves & weredogs created in a way that is well ordered & convincing. Characters are well developed. Added to this mix is a good dose of humour.
