Zane Bennington. He was the guy who'd been making my life miserable for weeks. He was a prick. An asshole. A stone-cold ruthless bastard with no redeeming qualities whatsoever – well, except for his face. And his body. And yeah, maybe his massive fortune.

But other than that, the guy had zero going for him.

The only upside? He despised me as much as I despised him. Or so I

If an OTT manwhore with ruthless and unapologetic attitude, who can’t keep it his pants even after meeting the heroine, is not your trigger(s), you will probably enjoy the hell out of this book.

It was cool written, well-passed and partly funny!

(view spoiler)
If this was 2013 I would have given it 5 stars, because in 2013 I had zero taste in books. That year was cheaters and manwhores galore and I didn’t have any standards. Well now I do and this shit doesn’t fly with me anymore.

On top of emotional whiplash this book gave me, it also had excessive amounts of slut shaming and women bashing. Ladies, what is more attractive in a guy when you see him slut shame another woman right in front of you, amiright? I thought we were passed writing these awful t

Originally I wrote my review at 85% or so and was loving it, but then we get confirmation of H's cheating and I was not so fond of this author anymore. That should teach me a lesson to never write reviews without getting to the end! So my review has been edited & deleted from 5 to 3 because I can no longer recommend it. I steered some fellow reviewers wrong on this one because it is definitely not safe. I kind of liked Hero up until the portion we get confirmation that he is cheating on

Jane and Zane meet under less than positive circumstances. Other than having practically the exact same name, Zane and Jane have nothing in common. She’s a lowly catering assistant with a heart of gold, and Zane is an arrogant billionaire that seemingly takes pride in his heartless ways. So it’s no surprise that Jane manages to lose her job shortly after working at one of Zane’s parties and he’s the one behind it. After a confrontation or two, Jane finally has an interview; unfortunately it’s at ...more

I loved this book, the characters and the writing. Zane will have to grow on most people. He is intense and extremely rude. there are some things that people will get offended by but I have read worse. Jane was too nice in some scenes. Her roommate situation was annoying. However, I enjoyed the book. The story had me at the opening scene. There were some laughs along the way. I enjoyed the banter. I actually enjoyed the characters. Again many people will not like Z

Yay, a new book from Sabrina Stark. Obviously I dived straight in!
Zane Bennington is somewhat of a mystery, he arrives as though from nowhere to continue his grandfather's legacy. The heir to a huge hotel business he has no time for fools and thieves. Whilst cleaning house, he collects more than his fair share of enemies. Jane, is a young woman who he meets whilst she works a catered event in his honor.
This is not a meeting of hearts and minds. Jane inadvertently draws his wrath and believes he

3.5-4 stars

I have to admit, I was a little worried after reading the reviews but I’m glad I gave the book a chance because I actually enjoyed it.

I loved the author’s writing style - it was engaging and entertaining.

I adored Jane - she was sweet and witty whereas, Zane well let’s just say that Jane summed him up in some very colourful language lol.

The romance element was kind of small and I c

In light of recent events, my first thought when reading the title, there's a word waiting to be trademarked! But I'm getting sidetracked.

Unbelonging is one of my favorites and Stark heads back to her first novel for inspiration with Positively Pricked. Heroine down on her luck and only getting in worse. Hero who's recently come into his wealth and completely an ass to everyone. Throw in witty repertoire, lots of back and forth zingers, not sure I like you or not. But the hero is so very persuas

I really enjoyed it. It was hysterical in a lot of ways. I liked some of the twists in it as well. I did get a little tired of how intense Zane was. I mean he had almost no levels of being nice, even when he was telling Jane how he really felt about her.

And that leads me to Jane. Who lets everyone walk all over them like that? I mean everyone. There is a problem with being too nice. She needed a backbone when it came to other people. I mean she would tell Zane off in some ways, but that horribl

Wasn’t sure how Zane Bennington would compare to Lawton Rastor and the Bishop brothers, but happily surprised. Zane has been the most mysterious of the heroes so far. Knew he had his motives, but not what those motives were until the end. Book held my interest throughout and I finished in one day since I couldn’t put it down. Book stayed true to Ms. Stark’s others in that there was the funny and awkward supporting characters. Haven’t been let down yet by this author.

He's the guy that everyone loves to hate. She's the woman that can't seem to catch a break. In a relationship that idles at difficult, it's tough to decide who holds the winning hand. Sabrina Stark may have dreamed up one the most frustratingly complicated heroes I've come across. Zane is rude and opinionated, but he can be endearingly sweet. Jane loves to hate on the bad boy with attitude, until she finally sees the man behind the brutally honest facade. Ironic humor and fiery attraction singe ...more

Another Home Run

Sabrina Stark writes witty banter like no other author. Her books always make be both laugh out loud and think OMG that’s happening. Jane and Zane are amazingly funny from beginning to end. I made the mistake of reading the first chapter before bed and couldn’t stop reading until I finished the entire book. I had to see what Zane was going to do next and just how Jane was going to try to smooth it over.

Made me laugh

Zane and his constant use of 'fu¢k off' was hilarious.
Jane was the perfect match for him in every way. Some of her internal ramblings were so funny. As for how she stood up to Zane, it all made me love her character.
Not only were Zane and Jane funny, but the support characters, were just as good. Paisley had to be my favourite though.
I love a good light-hearted story, and this one was perfect.

Ehhhhh. The couple didnt spend nearly enough time together for me to feel this insta love for the Hero. And he said he was in love with her from the first moment but was banging chicks the whole time and then bringing one of them in front of the Heroine which then said other woman keeps talking about how good the Hero was the night before. I tacky on the Hero's part...ew ...more

I was struggling how to rate this one. On one level, the writing & characters (both main & supporting) are truly awesome! We have a strong & witty heroine, a "prick", manwhore & asswhole Hero who is mega HOT and really lovable once he starts to unravel (sort of).

There are many parts that I liked and many that I didn't. So lets start with what I didn't like......
From the moment Hero & heroine meet until about 80% or so in, there are many sparks between our couple but there is no romance at all o

I can't believe I read the whole darn thing. I don't understand how I just completed it and yet I'm not completely mad about it but I still dont think this is a good book. It had the potential to be amazing but it sucked in almost every aspect.

The main characters were terrible. Jane was a really nice girl but she was a complete pushover. Even when people offended her she just took and didn't stand up for herself. Zane was described as being hot as hell and I believed it but he really was an assh

Billionaire Zane Bennington has everything, money, looks and ladies. He inherited multi billionaire Bennington group from his grandfather.
Jane was working as a caterer at Zane’s party. When she was looking for something in her caterer van she overhears conversation between Zane, Teddy and numerous people from the party. But that conversation was not pleasant. She knew Zane is prick, ruthless, coldhearted as*hole. She was never to talk to Zane by her supervisor and when she was exiting the van, s

What a fascinating, unique romance between Zane and Jane. The world saw Zane as an evil, greedy. prick but no one knew his true motives they just thought they did. Jane working for Zane took him at face value thought he was rude, arrogant, an asshole and prick. Although she slowly started to see a different side to him she still did not trust him. After a few incidents that showed he did care about her well being she started to soften more towards him. But they he would slip back into asshole te ...more

I don't know why I didn't like the writing. It's not one big issue. There are many things that wouldn't be such problem overall, if they occurred separately. However, I'm not sure what irks me so much about it.

Maybe it was that a lot of the conversations between the different characters were styled in questions over questions, which got on my nerve quickly.
Maybe it was the dragging descriptions of unimportant stuff or that most of the females bitched towards Jane, the lead. Come on, you don't h

This is the first book that I have read by this author and it will not be the last. Zane is a billionaire known for being a jerk, er prick. Jane is a sweet young woman who is trying to pay rent and figure out what to do with her life after she gets fired - something she indirectly attributes to Zane. Zane hires her to be he “personal public relations” manager and while she grapples with working for someone so rude, she cannot refuse. She has no trouble standing up to Zane and telling him when he ...more

Positively Pricked focuses on the relationship of Jane, a young recent college grad with a degree in Public Relations and Zane Bennington, the new heir of the Bennington empire that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

After Jane first met Zane, she couldn't help but hate him right away. Not only does he seem like a rude and overly wealthy person who cares about no one else, but he is part of the reason she finds herself fired from her catering job.

As Jane hunts for a job, she gets a promising lead;
