Cleo's supportive grandmother has died, her parents' marriage has dissolved, and her relationship with her best friend has exploded. Diverse characters were very relatable, and their interactions were realistic. Jealousy and feelings of being left out lead to the deterioration of Cleo's friendship with Layla.
