That Side of Heaven

Rate this book
That Side of Heaven chronicles Heather's journey of loss, grief, and healing after multiple miscarriages. With honesty and vulnerability, she addresses many of the fears and questions that emerge after miscarriage. Every raw detail of her story validates the pain of losing a baby, while also attesting to the hope and healing she found in God. That Side of Heaven offers a hurting momma comfort and camaraderie, while giving plenty of breathing room and permission to grieve in her own way. (From back cover of book.)

This book was a beautiful and honest telling of the heartache and redemption that comes from the loss of a child through miscarriage. Heather passed this book on to me through a friend when she heard the story of the struggles our family is currently going through. And even though we are not currently dealing with loss through miscarriage (which we did experience three times), this book was still a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness through the good and the hard. I will definitely recommend this book to any friends who deal with the loss of a child through miscarriage.

I'm sad this one is finished. It was healing and comforting to hear other's stories. I'd highly recommend it.

Did you know your story is compelling and sharing it can help others heal?
To help you understand how much value your story can add, I highly recommend the beautiful book “That Side Of Heaven.”
Several women share about their loss with vulnerability and compassion, and their stories greatly encourage me as I write my own.

As someone who has experienced 5 miscarriages & a stillbirth (all have been from IVF as well), I loved the intention behind why this book was written. Our last miscarriage was in December 2022 & I’ve had this book on my shelf since - just deciding to read it in March 2024. I wouldn’t recommend reading this if your loss is recent - definitely take time before reading this & things mentioned can be very triggering.
