Smooth flowing, easy to follow, well paced read with unpredictable twists and surprises that keeps your attention till the last page. The characters were so realistic and true to form they could have been neighbors. Very detail oriented and spot on that makes it so life like and believable. With a wide range of emotions that's all over the place. Anastasia did a remarkable job bringing this read to life.

I read romance novels for pure enjoyment. To lose myself in a story that is sweet and sappy and happy, where love conquers all. Good romance novels are my very definition of easy reading. You get all of that with "The Dragon's Healer," and so much more! This book is impossible to put down, endearing, and empowering. I was utterly enthralled!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved the fact that this story brought to light the plight of people suffering with MS. Evette owned her own successful apothecary business dispensing natural remedies. Valen moved to Phoenix to be able to mingle with the humans and yet be close to the mountains and peaceful places where he could let his dragon loose. Valen started working for Evette at her store and slowly gained her trust and confidence. ...more

This book is about a dragon shifter who has left his clan and hides in the human world. He goes to work for a natural healer who owns a apothecary. This book deals alot with the relationship between Valen and Evette, but does not take in the world of the dragon into thought. It shows when he returns home to try and heal Evette from her illness. The dragon world is confusing and tyrannical. I don't know what the author can do make this world seem more believable, because it is rough, confusing an ...more

This was a cute read. The writing of the disease was decently explained (I suffer from my own undiagnosed neurological disorder) so it was easy to see. The story is told from both Evette and Valen’s point of view sharing what is going on with each. The writing is good and the story grows with the development of the characters. I liked that Evette wasn’t 20 like most characters and that she has lived her life before the book takes place. With her illness she does have emotional problems that ofte ...more

Valen, a dragon prince, runs away from duty and a mating for political reasons. At heart he is a healer, compassionate and warm-hearted.
He finds a place at Evette's apothecary. Evette is a human, a healer in her own right and he is drawn to her in many ways.
A straight forward love story - maybe - if it were not for the case that Evette is also severely ill - she has MS.
Fighting for her, for their love makes him into a stronger man, facing problems and challenges head-on.

Evette is The Dragon's Healer who teaches Valen to become a healer also!

This is another excellent steamy shifter romance by an excellent shifter romance author! I am relatively new to this author but I like the way she presents her shifter. Evette is a healer who has been around the block so to speak so when she takes a new employee who learns swiftly, can she simply chalk it up to him looking younger and disease free? Evette Summers, a twice divorced apothecary owner with a degenerative autoimmune nervous system disorder, needed a helper for her store. She gladly hired Valen A. Drake sight unseen after interviewing him on the phone. A rear ender, a hospital trip, and after his first day in the store later, Valen volunteered to be Evette's apprentice.
The story was well written and lures you in to find out what happened between the H/h. I love the strength and quiet courage of Evette. While Valen showed his fir

A beautiful love story that brings each character to life in such a rich and vivid way. You feel what they are feeling and it is a guessing game of how it will all end, but the ending is splendid and I have already reread it twice. It is an amazing story and a bit different from your typical shifter stories as the heroine is ill and looking for a cure that only the hero can give her. Their love is a slow burn but then becomes a beautiful blaze. The happily ever after is so sweet and absolutely ...more

First let me say that I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my feedback. I always leave an honest review.

Wow, this story was Gr8. Evette is a strong woman considering her health issues who owns an apothecary, then add in two failed marriages because of her health, and you understand her hesitancy with the opposite sex. Valen is a dragon prince and all he wants to do is heal people which goes against his being the prince. I recommend this read. 5

This was a pretty good read, I just wish we found out more about Valens world and history etc so everything had a bit more impact, I also thought for a Prince he could have had a stronger personality. Evette was great with her stubborn attitude and drive to keep going no matter how sick she was but would have liked a bot more of the feelings she had grow for Valen so you really felt them drawn to each other. In saying all that a perfect relaxing afternoon read..

A great new story by Anastasia. It has a sassy woman with a terminal illness hasn't stopped her doing the apothecary work she love. Her new apprentice is hiding a big secret and a royal bloodline. Valens has the ability to cure Evette but to do so is punishable by death. Will Vale choose to save her knowing the consequences of doing so?

I absolutely love paranormal romance books. Dragons are the best for me because the are mythical creatures that are strong and beautiful. This book is about a human that runs an apothecary shop and a gorgeous dragon/human. Valen literally runs Evette over with his truck and has to take her to the hospital. Turns out he is her new employee. They fight their attraction as long as they can, but something has to give. The Dragon's Healer is an enjoyable story that I could not seem to put down until the final page. It drew me in by the first word and gave me a much needed smile in the end. The main character Evette had her moments of frustration for me, but in the end she was a good character. Valen was a nice counterpart for Evette and I loved them together. Evette's sister was my favorite when it came to the secondary characters. In all, it was a great short read for me.

Really loved this book, I couldn't put it down once I stated reading. This is well written with strong independent characters who fight for what they want. Evette, suffering from MS desperate to find a natural treatment and refuses to give in to her weaknesses. Vallen, the dragon Prince who just wants to be a healer falls for the beautiful determined independent boss of the apothecary where he works.

love and prejudice wear many faces; can true love and conviction, and respect for another's beliefs win out ?

A savvy herbalist / healer and a Dragon price have much in common in terms of belief in healing, and bad prior experiences.

Well drawn characters, unexpected foes who are folks with insistent and domineering ways of forcing their views.

Can they survive? Their love? Their worlds?

An exciting, steamy read.
