I've only read three of these stories so far, but wow! I was completely blown away by the variety, the plots, the romance, and the characters, and I'm excited to finish the collection. They claim to be novellas, but they are on the longer side and didn't feel like they were. These really are timeless stories that will warm the coldest heart and give a reader a few hours of enjoyable escape.

In ENCHANTING NICHOLETTE, I was transported back to the beloved Everstone family. An undeniable and instant

This was a quick paced adventure that didn't seem entirely realistic, but was entertaining.

I always find stories set in the South during Reconstruction after the Civil War to be fascinating. While it's easy to vilify the people on that side of the conflict, they are people with families and heartache as well. I loved that Tristan was able to find healing with Opal and her mother and they could lean o

TIMELESS LOVE: ROMANTIC STORIES THAT SPAN THE AGES is an enjoyable collection of short stories or novellas from different time periods and places to inspire and give readers seven happily-ever-after options. The stories will later be released individually and most stand on their own quite well. Highly recommended for inspirational romance readers!

I've developed a love for compilations like these. It's nice to be able to pick up and read a story in one setting that still immerses you in another w

Only read Enchanting Nicholette so far:

Cal Hawthorne is a secretly very eligible bachelor, kept in the shadows because of a dangerous escapade not to mention scandal. When he meets Nicholette Everstone, he throws all caution to the wind and decides he isn’t going to lose her again! He has quite a few secrets he needs to tell her but timing is everything, if only he could get her to fall in love with him first maybe she wouldn’t care about his past. Only he might not have to try as hard as he th

It is always fun to find new author's. This anthology was written by seven Christian authors, five of them were new to me. It appears that all of the novella's are tied to series that the author's have written about, or are in the process of writing about. If you are looking for potential new reading material and authors, this is a perfect way to try them out.

Each of the stories are very different. You have Regency romance to a couple living in a shack, surviving through blizzards, in Canada. Th

I had the privilege to read an advanced copy of Bookishly Ever After, one of the novellas in this collection. While I am mostly a historical fiction reader, I occasionally crave a contemporary romance. Sarah Monzon is definitely one of my go-to authors of this genre. If anything, I am pickier when it comes to contemporaries. I do not give 5-star ratings to many novellas, but this is definitely the exception.

Bookishly Ever After is well-written, with surprisingly well-fleshed out characters for a

Seven authors have banded together in this collection of novellas that span across time. These stories from authors like Pepper Basham, Dawn Crandall, Sarah Monzon, and more are less than a dollar. AND all proceeds of this collection go to the Live Strong Foundation. Not only do you get a great deal and hours worth of fabulous reads, your purchase helps cancer research.

Now, if I talk about every single one of these stories like I’d like to, you’re going to be here a while. To save us both time,

Timeless Love. What an interesting concept. Seven authors decided to combine their writing talents and their chosen genres to create a completely unique, in my opinion, series of novellas to offer for a good cause. Starting with Andrea Boeshaar in "Give Me Thine Heart" in 1814 and ending in the contemporary time period with Sarah Monzon's "Bookishly Ever After," the stories feature a strong heroine and hero. Each of the authors are published in their time periods with other books. Some of the n ...more

"Bookishly Ever After", just one example of this sure-to-be-amazing collection of stories!

"You read all these great stories about heroes and heroines who do all sorts of things while you're safely tucked inside your apartment. You live vicariously through them, but that's not living, Em."

Ahem . . . . . . maybe Tate is on to something, Emory Blake does delve into the pages of a book whenever and wherever time allows. So why all of a sudden is her best friend Tate Woodby calling her out, daring he

Timeless Love Anthology

What a great idea! An anthology that encompasses three centuries and just over 200 years. It is written by multiple authors, some of whom are new to me.

The anthology will only be available for a short time. After that, they will be available individually by each author. Considering the fact that this book is only $.99, it just makes sense to buy a copy of the anthology.

I have the overall details of the anthology here. I have the review for each book separately on my blog,

My review is solely for the contribution by author Sarah Monzon for her novella “Bookishly Ever After”. I was fortunate enough to receive an early view of this novella and am including my thoughts here. I have not yet read the other stories in the anthology but hope to when they are released. Here is my review:
This story was like a beautiful melody to me. It flowed so smoothly, I never wanted it to end.
I connected with Emory on a personal level as, I too, often use books as an escape and for the
I read a few of the stories in this collection starting with Enchanting Nicholette by Dawn Crandall.

I adore Dawn's Everstone Chronicles and this story fits beautifully into her collection. Dawn has done it again!!! I inhaled this novella in just a day. It was wonderful to be back in the world of the Everstone Chronicles and even better to get Nicholette's story!

Dawn is at her best in this story. There are so many deliciously romantic moments. You can feel the tension building and soak in every r

I read Teach Me to Love by Kari Trumbo. Izzy, a widow who had been isolated and emotionally abused by her now deceased husband, and Conrad, illiterate and ashamed of that, are the main characters. Izzy had started to get her teaching credentials until she married. Kari Trumbo writes a sweet romance story about these two damaged souls. I loved the interaction among the characters and seeing how they helped each other heal. Also, I was amused by Conrad's exasperation with Izzy when he tried to co ...more

I just finished this novella, The Heart of Home, from Timeless Love: Romantic Stories that Span the Ages and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. I love stories about the Civil War and how strong people had to be to survive that war.

In this novella, Opal Martin lives on the Riverbend plantation with her widowed mother when she discovers a soldier passed out on their front porch. Tristan Stuart thought he was at death’s door when he saw home, or what he thought was home. Making it to the porch

This is definitely one of the better novella collections I've read. Usually, there's at least one "dud" in the bunch, but I would rate them all at 3-1/2 stars or higher, and I enjoyed reading each one.

My favorite is Bookishly Ever After, Sarah Monzon's entry. It's so adorable and romantic! I also loved Enchanting Nicholette (Dawn Crandall) and Façade (Pepper Basham).

I really enjoyed how each novella was set in a different era ... though I would've liked to see one set in the '70s, '80s, or '90s,

Timeless Love: Romance Stories That Span The Ages is a set of seven tales ranging from 1814 to present day. They are all unique with their characters and settings but perfectly complement each other with similar themes. I loved them all but definitely had a favourite. I wonder which one you like best?

This review is only for the novella "Bookishly Ever After" by Sarah Monzon.

I write book reviews on my blog. One of my tags is "Nobody writes like Sarah Monzon". That pretty much sums up how I feel about this novella.

Teach Me To Love-Kari Trumbo

Isabelle Lawson was in a marriage she loathed. When her husband passes she decides to go visit a long time friend. Upon her arrival at the Circle O ranch she encounters Conrad Oleson who was heading into town for supplies for the ranch. He decides to lead her to the ranch and as they reach the ranch she passes out and Conrad has to catch her and carry her into the house. Conrad is a sweet and gentle guy. What makes him even more special is that he's romantic without t

I have only read Pepper Basham's Facade from this collection and can't wait to read the rest of the stories. From the first chapter of Facade, and even the opening line, I was completely engrossed in this story and could not put it down! It is full of intrigue, with breath-holding suspense; and I could almost actually feel the danger that was constantly lurking everywhere. The setting of WW II, the espionage with all of its tools, and the history in & behind this story make this a fascinating re ...more

A sweet story of love, patience and ever after!

Teach Me To Love is a sweet western romance in the Brothers of Belle Fourche Series. This is a story that shows a love can change a person for the better and help them embrace their obstacles that could be holding them back in life. You learn so many different lessons in this story – honesty, forgiveness, love, respect, healing and even how to overcome the hardships that we all face in life.

A delightfully written story with romance, new beginnings

I very rarely read novellas as I am not a fan of many as I prefer longer stories that give me more of an opportunity to really get to know the characters. However I was excited to read this collection because it includes stories from two of my favourite authors and I liked idea that all proceeds were being donated to Live Strong Foundation. Collections like this are great for introducing to you authors you may not be familiar with.

4.5 I really enjoyed The Heart of Home by Stephenia H. McGee from this collection. This post civil war novella found it's way into my heart early on. Poor Tristan Stuart barely made it to Opal Martin's porch before asking her if he could die on her porch. Lieutenant Tristan Stuart, head wound bleeding and barely conscious was on his way back from war to a home that no longer existed when he collapses on the Martin's porch. Review for Teach Me To Love: I absolutely loved Isabelle's story. She endured so much and could have let the pain of her past keep her from loving again, but she embraces healing, and finds purpose and true love. I fell in love with Conrad right away, the way he pursues Isabelle, is just precious. I really enjoyed the flour fiasco, and how Isabelle turns disaster into a delicious bakery. This is a charming story of healing, love, and faith. ...more

This Freedom Journey by Misty M. Beller

Coincidence that these two find each other in a time of need, I don’t think so, but survival is not going to be easy for either of them.
The book opens in the middle of a blizzard in the mountains of Canada, and two unlikely people are thrown together for survival. One desperately needing shelter, along with his donkey, which he brings inside, and the other too ill to get up and take even liquids.
We get to see these two as they go about survival, and you ar

Bookishly Ever After by Sarah Monzon
This book by Sarah Monzon is a wonderfully sweet story of two young adults. The book touched my heart. Mainly because it’s about a girl who LOVES to read.
Emory is a sweet girl who spends her time lost in books. She has one with her everywhere she goes, wait that’s not right, more like two or three. Reading to her is a way of escaping those uncomfortable moments where she would have to start up a conversat
