I didn't realize that this book was mostly photos. The photos are very high quality and portray Shaker buildings at several sites as well as many room interiors and tools and other implements of all sorts, giving a good overview of Shaker life. The text, however, is disappointingly short (and the editing leaves something to be desired), although I was pleased to find that it included details of Shaker history with which I was not familiar.
