Mohamed Ghazi is an author whose writing inhabits the quiet, uncomfortable spaces most people avoid. His work explores raw, unfiltered emotion—love, isolation, regret, and the slow resilience required to endure them. He has been writing since 2006, shaped by a deep admiration for Charles Bukowski’s unapologetic honesty and a lifelong need to tell the truth as it is felt, not softened. He has published six books—Honest, Half Pleasure Half Pain, Blue, Death and Other Beautiful Things, Winter, and his latest work, I Wanted to Live. Through poetry and prose, Mohamed invites readers into intimate reflections on longing, missed chances, and the quiet ache of wanting more from life while standing in your own way. His writing does not offer easy answers. It offers recognition. A mirror. And sometimes, a moment of shared silence.
Writing this book was like eating my own flesh. With each page, you will find wounds and scars from my past. It's the most personal book I've written. And I'm just so happy I have finally published it. It's indeed, not for the weak. I'm going to be the first to give myself 5 starts because I deserve it.
image: What did you do to me this time, Mohamed? This book was an emotional torture. And if you didn't listen to Mr. Mohamed Ghazi's speech in the book launch event, you missed half the experience. I started by highlighting the pages that I loved. I ended up highlighting the whole book. Please don't stop writing. Please.
*Me after reading the book* A top-notch poetry book that delivers something more than beautiful words. This book delivers emotions and that is the best type of poetry. From the dedication to the acknowledgement, "Blue" is a book that you can't put down. I loved every page down to the dust of it. This book is the perfect book to take in a gateway vacation when you are feeling lonely and blue and you want to read something by the beach. Best poetry book in 2018? Absolutely.
Well I thought it’s going to be a painful journey but it’s worth it after all. I quite liked the concept of every single poem but the way the writer ended the book is WAY TOO MARVELOUS “ THE END but sometimes, the end is a beginning too.” Long story short that’s life.
I've been wanting to read this for a while now and I decided to order it. And since it was short and I need an easy read during my spare time. I LOVED IT SO SO MUCH. This book will give you all sorts of emotions as you remember someone you love and someone who broke your heart. Every page was worth it. If love poetry, you should definitely grab this book!
There are not enough words I can write that will give this book justice. GHAZI IS THE BUKOWSKI OF THIS GENERATION. HELL YEA I SAID IT. 5/5 without doubt!
Third is the best, indeed Mr. Mohamed Ghazi. I cried an ocean over this book. I couldn't highlight my favorite quotes or pages because I simply liked and enjoyed every word about it.
A poetry book with very strong emotions and a powerful message. I have so many favorite pages but I just love the how the book ended with the last page.
Five stars because it's the best poetry book I've read and I think it's so underraaaaaaaaaaaaated people need to give more attention to good poetry books like blue Well done Mr. Mohamed Ghazi
