Honor On The Cape is the second book in the Cape Van Buren Series by MK Meredith. It is a beautiful contemporary romance that is packed full of emotion, spice and romance. Having read the first book, I was really happy to find that this book was available, and I hoped that it would grab me as much as book one did. I really enjoyed this book and it is every bit as good as the first.

Ten years ago Blayne MacCaffrey and James Astor were so in love, but then he deserted her and left her heartbroken. Now though, the pair are reunited to help in the launch of the Archer Conservation Park of Cape Van Buren, but working together isn't easy for Blayne, especially when it's so hard for her to forgive James for what he did in the past. Will Blayne let down her guard and let James back into her life, or will their second chance at happy ever after never happen?

Reviewed at Romance Is Ageless

After the intensity of the first story in this series, Love on the Cape, (which I loved by the way) it was interesting to see a completely different type of intensity in Honor on the Cape. Blayne and Jamie (Jay) are such proud people, each with their own definition of what is the right thing to do. It’s obvious, even after a decade apart, that their love is still going strong, even if it’s been battered a bit by their actions. In reading their romance, feeling the

Blayne MacCaffrey and James Astor were meant to be together, but that was 10 years ago, before he left her in a country she didn't know, with a broken heart, to make her own way. Blayne knows she has to make a name for herself, or she'll never be able to return home after her own father accused her of causing the family dishonor. When she's asked to take over the launching of the Archer Conservation Park in Cape Van Buren, she knows this is the very break she's been waiting for that will bridge ...more

Honor on the Cape by MK Meredith is the second book in her Cape van Buren Series, and what a great follow up! Following the story of Blayne MacCaffrey and James Astor, early on the reader can see just how palpable the chemistry is between these two, and yet life gets in the way of them having their happy ever after. More than 10 years goes by before their paths will cross again. Blayne is doing everything in her power to rebuild the relationship between her and her father, for the dishonor she c ...more

“There’s no honor in it, Blayne. Leavin’ the way ya are.”

This is the second book in the On the Cape series from MK Meredith. I have read the first book in the series but don’t think it is necessary to read it before this one. It could stand on its own well. I would recommend it if you enjoy series though, both are great books. I enjoy the way hat MK Meredith writes her characters with such emotion and life. They really pop off the page and become a part of your life while you are reading. With

The Technical Stuff: This book has both cursing (including many f-bombs) and explicit sex. If those things will bother you, you should skip this one. Technically this is the second book in the Cape Van Buren series, and while the first book is amazing and should be read because of that, you do not have to have read the first book to enjoy this one.

Honor On The Cape is a second chance love story that is filled with humor, sexiness, and emotions. While Honor doesn't quite hit the emotional level

Honor and familial duty are still bonds that connect Blayne McCafferty and Jamie Astor. It was familial duty and the need to honor his surname that drove Jamie to abandon his love Blayne in Cape Van Buren 10 years ago, leaving the new Irish immigrant to fend her way in a new country very much alone. And it is now Blayne who feels the familial duty to head back home to Ireland, a successful businesswoman whose achievements can bring honor to her family while she repairs the rift she created by le ...more

Contrived and cheesy

Why do so many writers reunite couples in second-chance stories by having the heroine do something stupid and embarrassing? News flash: It's not cute or funny. Neither are busy-body, PITA friends who can't remember boundaries or with whom their allegiance is supposed to lie.
Look, ladies - if a girl wants nothing to do with the jerk who helped alienate her family and then dumped her in a foreign country, then you support HER. You don't try to push her towards him. Friends know
