This book has stood the test of time. There are some lures brands and technology describes that has come a long ways since this was published, but the lessons on reading the water and how to fish the major types of lures stand up well over time. This has been super valuable. I'm going to be taking it in the boat with me this summer to see how I do with this new knowledge.

Great book. Bates uses photos of various types of water to show where fish reside in each situation. A unique and effective approach.
