Hannah Daniels reads steamy romance novels to forget her last trip on the love roller coaster shredded her heart and tossed it like confetti. Her instincts about men stink, but at work they’re on point. Only her busy schedule means she reads whenever she can make time. Like at the laundromat while sitting on top of a washing machine. Don’t judge.

This book wasn't what I thought it would be after reading the synopsis. Sometimes not getting what you expect to is a good thing, not in this case though. When I read the description of this book, it sounded like something that I would totally enjoy, but sadly it was not meant to be. I really hate it when you read the synopsis of the book, and then the book turns out nothing like the synopsis.
Sadly, I didn't see the spark in this book. The writing was choppy and disjointed and I kept looking bac

I really wanted to love this book. It seemed like a fun and light novel. But the hero came as a little too stalker-ish and the heroine was annoying and paranoid. I never liked her to be honest. Mason wasn't the best guy, but at least he loved her and the stalker-ish things he did were his way of finding the woman he liked and thought he could spend his life with. Hannah was just pushing him away without explanation and was cynical. I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with her to be hone ...more

This is a fun read with plenty of laughs throughout this engaging story. It starts with Hannah Daniels reading a steamy romance whilst sitting on the vibrating washing machine cleaning her laundry in a laundromat! That's where firefighter Mason McNally spies her and is instantly attracted. He tries to talk to her but she spots the wedding ring he's wearing and won't have anything to do with him! The fact that he isn't married and is only wearing it as part of research for his brother won't help ...more

Wow, I just read some bad reviews for this book. I liked the book and thought it was adorable. It needed some editing, but as a former editor (if you can really leave editing behind) I never met a bigger grammar Nazi than me and even I didn't think it deserved a 1*! But the reviews were from two years ago, so this is a re-release and they saw something I didn't. Edit this story author, and apparently you already caught what they gave you a 1* for... Cute book.

Hannah knows men can be jerks in real life because she's experienced it and recently, so she'll stick to her books where the men know how to treat a woman. Personally, her good man-dar is busted, but at work her instincts are always on point. Unfortunately, her job doesn't leave much free time for reading, so as all bookworms do, she sneaks it in whenever she can...including while doing laundry.

Mason, a firefighter, has finally found the woman that awakens his soul, and she's engrossed in a book

This was a lovely read and I really could not help but fall in love with Firefighter Mason McNally.

Hannah is a hard working woman, who's parents have really old fashioned values and tend to put her down a bit. She is a nearly thirty year old single woman how has been burned twice by failed relationships. Her last relationship her friends and family intervened and found out that he was a married man with kids.

Hannah is of c

This is a sexy and fun novel that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. Mason sees Hannah under odd circumstances and is instantly smitten, while Hannah thinks he's scum and hopes to never see him again. Then he begins to stalk her in an attempt to find her again...

Hannah has had a bad relationship that really destroyed her ability to trust her judgment with men, so when Mason rolls over her and acts like he's in "insta-love", she doesn't believe him, so she constantly pushes him away and puts limits on

First of all, can we talk about how much I love a romance reading heroine? Hannah loves to escape into the fantasy world of romance novels to forget her own bad luck with men. When Mason approaches her at the laundromat she’s definitely attracted to him−that is until she spots a wedding ring on his finger. Repulsed by the idea of yet another married man trying to use her to cheat on his wife she makes a quick exit, while Mason is left feeling like he just lost an opportunity with the girl of his ...more

I love a book where the man is head over heels for the girl instead of the other way around and look no further this is your book!
Hannah Daniels, sits on the washer machine while it's on spin reading a romance novel. Hard to believe but yes she does it. She lives vicariously through these books since her job eats up most of her time and after a really bad ending to a relationship she's not in the man market.
She meets Mason McNally at the laundromat just as her washer in done and her dryers stop

Swanangel15's Book Review
It took me a long time to read this book. It took me a few months and I have now completed this book. This is mostly in part because the book did not turn out the way I thought it would have and it bored me with its weirdness. Here is what I mean.

Hannah Daniels does not find it weird to sit and read an erotic book whilst waiting for her clothes to wash in a public laundry-mart.

Hannah was just getting to one of the good parts of her current book when a handsome stranger distracts her. He was very

I received this book as a freebie from RT15.

This book is very representative of its kind. It has a cute hook and stayed cute until the didactic view of love was imposed on the heroine at the end. Not to mention the ending is incredibly abrupt.

Just One Spark takes the annoying position that there is only one way to fall in love and that's love at first sight. Falling in love over time is not real love according to this book. Most romances have a compressed timeline and couples are often engaged i

Hannah Daniels isn't very trusting, especially the moment she meets Mason McNally and he flirts with her while wearing a wedding ring. However, Mason isn't one to give up on something he wants and what he wants is for Hannah to give him a chance. Will Mason be able to win Hannah over or will their shot at happy ever after never happen?

Ms. Bayley-Burke always manages to entertain me with her books and this was such an entertaining read, especially with the way it starts because the hero has some

Just One Spark by Jenna Bayley-Burke has an interesting first meeting between the main characters that sets the stage for this fun romance. You can see how the misconception guide this story early on. From then on it is a hot firefighter chasing after a sassy workaholic woman. Not a bit serious but one of pure escapism fun reading.

Mason has helped his brother out in an experiment but missed his dream come true girl in the process. I must admit Derek was as interesting if overly talkative then M

I LOVED this book soooooo much. It was fun and flirty and romantic and it made me laugh and get really excited and I truly loved every minute.

Hannah is a hot single woman, she meets Mason in her buildings laundry room and thinks he is married. But he isn't what he is is in love with her but she thinks he is married and he can;t find her...ohhh so what does he do? Well it was a totally fun book and I am not spoiling anything else.

A great story of when you meet the right one, you just know. I loved the confidence Mason had in his instincts and feelings toward Hannah. Both felt that spark, that strong instant connection, but he never waivered. Hannah took a slight bit longer for me to really like. I actually liked her in all aspects - she was smart, determined, independent. However, it was a little frustrating how she pushed Mason away. I was like, "Really, come on. look how awesome he is, how well he treats you and takes ...more

Another great read by Jenna Bailey-Burke! I just fell in love with Mason the way he fell in love with Hannah. It was so cute and romantic the way Mason went out of his way to find Hannah and make sure she knew that he was not married and ask her on a date. He reached stalker status to find and her and not many many would do that especially when they just met. Hannah might have many trust issues but I was glad that she gave Mason and a chance. Loved this story line and I can’t wait to read more o ...more

Hannah was a hopeless romantic. She looked forward to escaping in the romance books that were delivered to her home every month. What she couldn’t abide by was husbands that cheated on their wives. Why is it all she seems to attract are married men? She had no idea that when she met Mason he wasn’t all he appeared to be. He was simply more than she could ever have possible imagined. As she finally lets down the walls that have guarded her heart for so long she can fully embrace the life she want ...more

The synopsis didn't reflect the actual plot. I had a hard time connecting with the story mainly because the characters appeared not all together there. Mason appeared stalkerish which at first was made to be funny but wasn't really and Hannah was really not a cohesive character. She appears to be a highly sexual person but seems to be denying this too much. She also is an accomplished career person so being wishy washy about what she really wanted didn't jive with the overall personality. The se ...more

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) This was a fun, cute opposites attract. So Hannah met Mason under a misconception, she thought he was married since he was wearing a wedding ring, so while he is hitting on her she thinks he is a creep. Mason is a romantic he believes in fairy tales and Hannah wants to focus on different pursuits she has been burned before and does not want to go that route, she wants to focus on work..The journey begins which one of them will change their views.

I discovered JBB a couple of months ago and I am loving her writing style so much!!

Mason is a firefighter who agrees to participate in his brother's experiment that women hit on married men more. He didn't think anything of it until his participation completely blew his chance with the perfect woman. Hannah is tired of unavailable men making her their target so when an unbelievably hot, seemingly taken, man sets his sites on her, she dismisses him completely. Mason has no choice but to find her

This is a cute fun read that definitely left me smiling. Hannah and Mason are fun characters and their original meeting had me laughing out loud. Luckily they got past that awkward situation and find they fit together and their chemistry explosive.

Nothing too deep in this one but if you're looking for a fun lighthearted read this is the book for you. I highly recommend it.

Hannah is cautious after having been hurt badly in a relationship before. Mason, however, is smitten with her at first sight. When they start spending time together will they be able to overcome their opposite views on relationships?

The plot was interesting but felt a bit rushed in some places. The author did a good job , though, with showing where Hannah's insecurities and relationship issues stem from. As I got further into the book I did feel like both Hannah and Mason needed to do a better j

Hannah sometimes has a one track mind, "she’d almost dragged him back to her bedroom the moment he’d walked through the door." Mason is just so honest, “no.” He smiled into her hair. “If I’d thought of it before, I wouldn’t have worn underwear.” Hannah can sometimes get vicious when her man doesn't give her a good answer, "she yanked the hair out. Mason yelped and clasped his hand over hers. “I was waiting for you to decide what you want.” I liked this book, I loved Mason.

Mason sees Hannah for the first time sitting atop the washing machine reading a romance novel, and is in love.
Hannah thinks Mason is married, he’s wearing a wedding ring for his brothers experiment, and doesn’t want to have anything to do with him.
I really enjoyed reading Just one spark. It was funny, quirky, sexy and romantic. Mason goes for what he wants and his patience with Hannah, who is a little cautious having trouble trusting her instincts after her last relation was totally swoon wort
