Rotherham's Emphasized Bible

One should always be weary of translations done by single individuals. And the reasons should be obvious. (1) There is no accountability for blatant error. And (2) since there is no accountability they always have the freedom to corrupt the text.

I will cite just a few examples of how Mr. Rotherham has corrupted the Bible: Gn 16:5; 18:22; 33:4; etc.

Now it would seem to me illogical to change Scripture on account of proposed (imaginary) scribal alterations when no manuscripts exist to support such a claim. Yet what's even worse, is when the these changes seem blatantly absurd.

For instance, let us look specifically at Genesis 18:22. He writes "And the men turned from thence, and went their way, towards Sodom, - but, Yahweh was yet standing before Abraham."

I find this corruption of the text quite humorous, considering in Genesis 19:27, he translates the exact opposite, "And Abraham gat up early in the morning, unto the place where he had stood before Yahweh;"

Now is the Holy Bible contradicting itself? Or has Mr. Rotherham lost all credibility? I think we know the answer to that question.

However, this is only one example. More can be found on your own. I simply wanted to demonstrate that 'these' people are unethical.
