A beautiful and Intelligently written piece. The exploration of the lives of the characters allows you to be empathetic. Erma for one, is a special. We get to see her and feel her and know her through the book. My fave line , which i beileve sums up majority of the vibe of this book: The Prophet may peace be upon him said 'The souls are like aligned soldiers joined in the world of spirits. I loved the format of this book. I also like the way that reference is made to characters by their name or titles. I like the characters too! They are generally young people, with some elders tossed in here and there. They are attending a intensive class away from home. There is a young woman looking for love but finding disappointment. There are favorite teachers that are dismissed due to the administration having a different point of view. There is the lost of loved ones and some other trying ...more
