There is a sense of impending endangerment all throughout the first book in the Rangers of Big Bend miniseries, especially after reading the very chilling scene at the beginning. I never knew what was going to take place, nor did I know who was responsible for the threats until carefully placed clues led to the truth. Lara Lacombe brings realism to RANGER’S JUSTICE, where buried emotions resurface and a sinister plot is methodically carried out.

Well-pace tale with disturbing subject matter tactfully handled. The heroine walks a fine line between attraction and dedication to her job. The solution is more obvious to the reader than to her, but this wasn't meant to be a serious who-dun-it. The hero is a strong, but realistic character. I like heroes that aren't so alpha male they're unbelievable. This guy is strong and outdoorsy, but also has trauma that's he working through and isn't dominating. Loved it

FBI agent and a Park Ranger. Both had lost love ones doing what they enjoyed. They are brought together hunting for a serial killer. Action, suspense, and a HEA.
