A few opening pages discussing the true revolutionary feeling of these artists. They were not violent revolutionaries - quite the contrary. It's just that their art was 'radical'. (If you can believe that now!!). 120 pages of bio equally divided among the 7 artists: Monet, Manet, Pissarro, Cezanne, Degas, Renoir and Sisley. Then 135 full color prints. Finally, notes on each of the pictures. I understand combining all the notes into the end, since putting them under/beside the pictures shrinks the space. I just would like to read the notes WHILE I look at the pictures - SO... What I'll do is make a photocopy of the final pages, and tuck it in my copy of this book. Problem solved! Just pull out the notes! And for the times I just want to immerse in looking at great impressionist paintings, I can just turn the pages and don't worry about the reading. [So, maybe a 4.572 stars]
