Siena Calabrese is no longer the prized daughter of la famiglia. Her transgressions against her brothers and family have stained more than just her reputation. Her best chance at keeping breath in her lungs would be to sit down and shut up like she was taught to do. She definitely shouldn't be feeding information to her family's enemies. And yet, she is still willing to ri ...more

Siena Calabrese is now ‘the disgraced one’. There’s no love lost between her and her family. Now that they know where her loyalties lie, she has no freedom. Life has become like a prison for her. But that’s okay, right? In the end, everything she’s done and everything she will do is for the future happiness she’ll find with John.

John has chosen stability, which includes letting his family in and making moves to end the war with the Calabrese. He’s learning to control his impulses and to start se

Disgrace picks up right where Loyalty left off. I'm so glad I waited till this was out before starting the duet, I'm too impatient to wait between books and need to read the story in one go. And, it was so worth waiting for. Disgrace pulls everything together, their journey to their happy was a battle, no two ways about it. Both John and Siena had everything stacked against them yet through it all they remained loyal and true to each other, never wavering in their love for each other. They t

A good book.
I guess my lack of background / knowledge about ‘famiglia’ made it a bit hard for me to follow and to accept all happenings.

Too many uncalled victims. Too many.

Hero’s illness / bipolar disorder was written brilliantly.

Sweet epilogue.

Loved it.
I never doubted it.

Johnathan Marcello had a turmoiled path ahead of him. Dealing with his illness, his weakness as he often said BUT he chose to fight it. To be better. To grasp it and control it.
For himself.
For his family.
For her. Siena
I had to choose stability. Not just for now, or for a while, or even for a few years. I had to choose stability for the rest of my life.

Because he could just as easily choose to refuse meds, to self-medicate, or to live his life in a consta

“It’s a Marcello thing”. That’s the only excuse they all used.

I was a Capo on the Streets
Wasn’t looking for love
Just trying to settle my head.
Then you came
Like an angel from above
You grounded me like no other.
You gave me hope and love
And now there’s nothing I won’t do for you
I’ll flood the Streets with blood
If it means to keep you safe.

Dear Author,
Your books are amazing, that’s a given.
However, this one is the BEST.EVER.
Just wanted to let you know.

The second part of the John and Siena story. A story of strength and strong convictions. Of doing anything no matter the cost, no matter the outcome and definitely no matter the consequence. You must read the first book of the duet, Loyalty, before you read Disgrace.

This story was extraordinarily filled with passion. Passion for family, passion for righting the wrongs of the past and most importantly passion between John and Siena. Their love and loyalty for one another is what great love is all

This was pure perfection and intense on so many levels. The story had everything as a love and loyalty are tested in the midst of a bloodbath between the Marcellos and Calabreses. I didn't think it was possible, but I loved John and Siena even more. And BK not only gives us an awesome love story, but there's action, family and the added weight of John's ongoing battle with his demons. I loved Siena. Talk about one badass heroine, she's mine kind of woman. And John with heart!!

Guys, drop everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drop everything and read John + Siena Duet!!!!!!!

You need it in your life!!!!!!!!!

Bethany-Kris to me is like the queen of mafia. She manages to grip my heart and yank it till I am addicted to her books. I am addict. I admit. I am freaking insane over her books. And every book she gives manages to strike gold in my eyes. Her words are like honey- sweet and drizzling to my soul. Bethany-Kris just keeps giving me hit after hit and I keep coming back for more. This town just wasn’t big enough for the both of these feuding mob families, folks. One of them is going to have to lose. When push comes to shove and blood starts to flow, the one left standing takes it all. The Calabrese clan not only have a score to settle with the Marcellos due to the explosive ending in book 1, but they foolishly think they have a right to ruin then reign over the Marcellos territory.

Like watching a determined small dog nip at the heels of a much larger one, the Calabrese t

He craves for loyalty but he still thinks he is a disgrace....

Disgrace by Bethany-Kris is the second book in John and Siena duet. It starts practically after the events of the first book. The choices are made, the streets are bloody and all is not as black and white as it seems to be.

John Marcello has never been afraid of difficulties. Being bipolar is not so simple, but he fights and wants to be 100% sure he is OKay. He has chosen his way and he will take it

So I don't think I can do these books justice, but I have to say I forgot how much I love the way this author writes. I loved her Russian Guns series - or rather, I loved Anton & Vine's story from start to finish. I did, however, stop reading this author after reading Demyan's story (Shattered) because I absolutely hated it! And that was only because Claire wasn't Gia and I really REALLY wanted Gia. Even thinking about it now makes me angry (lol - I know...I've got issues) so I didn't read anoth ...more

5 amazing 🌟 for the finale of John and Sienna!! This book struggles with a very emotional matter such as mental health!! John as being bipolar fights and wants to be ok!! And Sienna fights with her own demons, living under her brothers demands!! For me it was an emotional tale, as the rest of Marcello's series !! John and Sienna fought so long and so fucking hard to be finally together!! Both of them were so loyal to eachother!! This is a tale about strength....loyalty ..... of doing anything no ...more

John came a long way to get where he is at. So happy to get to read this story. Since he came along in Cross and Cat's books. He was the one character that I wanted to find out more about.

John was a great character. Stronger and almost quite. Knowing his illness and trying to get a better handle of it. Not knowing what his future holds.

This book was sooooo freaking great. A war is spreading blood all over the streets, John is striving for stability, and Siena is trying to breathe in her suffocating family and their rules. Everything is coming to a head and it was glorious to read. I fell even more in love with John and Siena. She was his life raft in the middle of stormy seas and he was the reason she did everything possible to get into his arms again. I loved seeing their relationship grow, seeing he

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review.

We were left with a sorta cliff hanger at the end of book 1, this picks up where book 1 left off. John is seeking treatment. The way John's bipolar was treated came across as realistic, he didn't come out of the treatment centre magically healed - it was a part of his life and he dealt with it - not always correctly but it was a learning process. Siena stood by him through thick and thin - she was his support and she was a bada$$! Her brother's on the oth

DISGRACE is the conclusion to the story of John and Siena.

It’s another great read and great conclusion.

You are able to see that Marcello’s face’s the same issues just like every other normal family.

I like how Bethany-Kris talked about John’s bipolar disorder in this series. John’s family has struggled trying to get him the help that he needs to properly manager his disorder. The discusses the struggles that his entire family goes through. The hurts, the pain, the sadness.

Bethany-Kris just blows my mind. She creates such great character that are real life and not perfect in every way like most fictional characters are at times. John's story and his struggles are real and at times too real. His journey is heartbreaking but necessary. His struggle will be life time long. Almost like an alcoholic or a type 1 diabetic. Mental Health has to be dealt with on a continuous plan and sometimes it is a difficult one that you want to throw the towel in on. Mental health need ...more

This was the perfect conclusion to John and Sienas story...I loved every word of it. They were just such a perfect couple. I loved how hard they fought for each other, to be together, to love each other and protect each other. Siena was FIERCE when it came to John, and he needed someone like that on his side. And I loved the relationship between John and Andino too...they were more than cousins to each other, and they had a fun bromance going, but they were fiercely loyal to each other as well. ...more
This author hasn’t let this Mafia romance lover down once.....

I’m just seriously in sync w/ this author & her writing. She never holds back the gore, the steam, the romance or the complexity of her very, very grey characters.

We pick up from book one w/ John still recovering in treatment, getting his Meds settled for his bipolar while outside all heck is breaking loose.

Siena is playing double agent, a very dangerous game. I would never have the hutzpa to do whet needed to be done. She was the ang

Nobody owned her like he did. Nobody loved her like he did. Nobody could ever possibly be him to her.

I am head over hills in love with John and Siena. They would do anything for each other. I loved seeing there protective sides.

And John with his naught mouth, man he is so hot.

I'm sad that John and Siena story is over. They had to fight so hard to be together and it was so great seeing them get there HEA, but I want more. I don't think I could ever get enough of them.

I swear every time I get with a dude Kris writes about I cheat on him! Yes CHEAT! John has yanked my heartstrings right out of my cold dead heart and warmed me again!

Again it’s hard to review this story without spoilers. Allow me to convey , however, how beautifully written the story between John and Siena unfolds. Scenes in this installment will force you into a fetal position crying your eyes out. The suffering is so palpable I could hardly remain still. As John snd Siena continue to grow ind

John & Siena's story was well worth the wait!

John and Siena were both in and out of disgrace depending on which angle they were being viewed from. The flaunting of traditional expectations placed both families in a position where their options were quickly diminishing. Patience and precision timing held the key to John and Siena being able to be together. For readers new to John and Siena, it’s important to note their story began in Loyalty and it needs to be read first.

This was a fantastic ending to a suspenseful, steamy and criminally good duet. I'm starting to really love these types of storylines, thank goodness I don't have to wait to long to get to the end. I loved watching the Romeo & Juliet story of John and Siena. It was beautifully crafted in a romantic but violent world of three two mafia families.

Disgrace picks up right where we left off in book two, I had no idea how this duo was going to move forward with what happened last book. The shocking dea

If you took the time as a reader and read Loyalty, then you need to jump into Disgrace. I loved it. I'm in the conclusion of John and Siena's story was amazing. They had such a hard road when it came to any type of happily ever after but they fought for it. John fought for Siena and what he knew to be right. Siena fought for John and had his back every step of the way. The Marcello family was a crime family that I can get behind. They had more than just loyalty when it came to being a part of th ...more

I picked this one up right as I finished Loyalty. If you have been following my reviews, then you will know that Bethany-Kris has become my new favorite go-to Mafia Romance Author.
Continuing off exactly where Loyalty ended, Disgrace is now right there with all the other books I have read and loved by this author.
There was so much character development from both the character's perspective, especially John’s. I really loved how we got to see the world through John’s point of view, which I think i

Disgrace is the second book in the John + Siena Series from Bethany-Kris. You need to read the first book Loyalty first before picking this book up or your going to be lost.

I bloody loved every second of this duet. John was just phenomenal and I fell head over heels for him, his daily struggles just blew me away. The way BK wrote his character was pure perfection and the way she tackled his bipolar and struggles was amazing.
I loved his family network and how supportive they were. I loved how supportive Siena was of John and that she really did see past his “disorder” and saw the wonderful man he was underneath all of that. Her unwavering love and suppor

I am slightly disappointed with this book.

Book 1 blew me away but this book felt more about John's disorder. We where constantly reminded about it, yes I know it plays a major part of the book but John was very much absent from this book. Siena took on more of the hero role here.

Again Siena was the hero of this book, I liked how she took her half sister's under her wing and tried to get to know them. I would have liked to know more about the eldest step-sister and the role Siena played there, so

The heart pounding conclusion to John and Siena’s story. Wars are being waged on many fronts. On the streets that are paved with blood, inside John’s mind fighting for calm and in Siena’s home where her brothers are dominant.

The author perfectly balanced the two sides of this story, we have the Mafia on one hand and the love story on the other. I love them together Siena is just what John needs, she’s strong when needed but her love and loyalty to John trumps everything.

This was a fantastic con
