The Rancher is about an emotionally and physically scarred man returning to claim his inherited ranch from a father that loathed him. He loathed him to the point of driving him out of his ranch by the time he was sixteen.

But what he found when he returned was friends and family, even if they have to drag him kicking and screaming into the fold.

The Rancher was sweet and sexy. This is my first read into Morgan Ranch series and The Rancher holds it own but I now want to jump back and read the five

**Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the ARC in exchange for an honest review**#TheRancher #NetGalley

Although Kate Pearce is a new author to me, I really enjoyed this book!! "The Rancher"  is a book with a little bit of drama, fun and humour!! Except that it was sweet, romantic and a wonderful joyride! Overall it was a fantastic read....I highly recommend this story!!

This is the 4th book in this series that I've read and I'm glad I picked it up!

We finally get Rachel's story! I've been dying for her story since we found out that she existed in the last book. We not only get to see how she's adapting to her surprise family but we learn more about what her life was like with her mom.

I loved Cauy's backstory and his own struggle with the ranch and his past. It was very interesting to see how he reacted to the Morgan's family involvement in his life when he move

I received this book from Netgalley in return for a honest review. All thoughts are my own.

The more I read these books, the more I would love to be apart of the Morgan family. Again Ruth is still running the family and she is still my favourite, oh how I wish I had a grandmother like Ruth.

This time we are meeting Cauy Lymond who has come back because his father left the ranch to Cauy...but what he finds is that the ranch is in need of a lot repairs, which at first he finds daunting, its while C

I enjoy this series and liked this book. Sometimes it was hard to follow Cauy Lymond's train of thought and trying to figure out Rachel Ford Morgan's character but overall, the two of them fit right into this crazy, mixed together family!
Love my visits to the Morgan Ranch and the family that lives there. From an exceptional meal by Ruth to Rachel a long lost sister coming home for the holidays. Snowy days, Puppies and secrets are on these pages along with the exploration of an abandoned mine. This is a stand alone read but warm your heart by starting from the beginning. "A copy of this book was provided by Kensington books via Netgalley with no requirements for a review. Comments here are my honest opinion."

We finally get to know more about the Morgan baby sister, Rachel. The things she went through, while too young to even know what she was going through, are just tragic. It’s no wonder she is full of insecurities. Not just about her place in the Morgan family, but her place with her step-dad and his new life.

Cauy is a prickly guy, but it’s very evident right from the start that he’s actually a very nice man. He just has a hard time interacting with others. Not only are his social skills lacking,

Rachel Ford Morgan’s completed her engineering degree& has returned to the Morgan ranch where she’s trying to find her footing around her birth father and her four brothers. She gets a chance to prove herself when she discovers worrisome fault lines around an abandoned silver mine.
Cauy Lymond doesn’t take kindly to the woman nosing around his property especially since she’s a Morgan. He came home just to keep his father’s failing ranch out of their super-wealthy hands. He soon realizes that

Morgan Ranch #6

With a meet-cute that was one leaving Cauy and Rachel angry rather than friendly there didn’t seem much hope for the two to find a HEA but they eventually do. Cauy Lymond has had it ingrained into his skull that the Morgan’s are out to get them and to be despised but Cauy soon realizes that perhaps his father was wrong.

Cauy Lymond is returning to Morgan Valley and the ranch his father left to him after his death. It has been fourteen years and even though he knew it would look different from when he last lived there, he certainly didn't expect it to be in the dilapidated state he found it in.

After an accident at the oil rig where he worked, all Cauy wanted was some peace and quiet and to live his life without disturbance especially from those Morgans at the next ranch.

Of course this isn't to be and when he run

This is Rachel and Cauy's story. They both have issues from their past that have helped to shape who they are now. I really liked Cauy. He was dealing with alot yet trying to overcome his issues and be a better person. I did not care for Rachel. Although she had her own issues to deal with, I couldn't get past her immature attitude. She ran away every time Cauy said or did something that she didn't like, instead of trying to figure out where he was coming from and when he tried to explain she st ...more

At long last we have Rachel Morgan's story! This book is part of the Morgan Ranch series and really is better read as part of the series so you can have a full understanding of the Morgan family dynamics. Rachel Morgan has always wanted to make people happy even at the expense of her own feelings. She simply has a need to fix people, so when she meets her new neighbor, Cauy, she sets out to do just that. Cauy may have some issues from both his upbringing and more recently an oil rig accident, bu ...more

Book #6: Morgan Ranch Series
Source: NetGalley
My Rating: 4/5 stars

Rachel Morgan is a Morgan and with that comes a hefty family with a huge history and a bright future. Trouble is, Rachel didn’t grow up with the hefty family and the huge history. Rachel spent her first two decades with a cold and rather distant mother who made it perfectly clear she wasn’t much interested in being a mother. Coming home to the Morgan Ranch is a bit like being a duck out of water, but with

The family drama at the Morgan Ranch has intrigued me over this series. The characters are interesting with their strengths and weaknesses, their appealing and irritating habits of nature make them like most of us, thus easy to relate to.
The family has faced so many problems over the years, or should I say decades, yet one of the happier events was when they found their little sister, Rachel, again. No, it hasn't been all dancing on the roses to adjust being part of a family Rachel Ford Morgan

Their first meeting didn't go well.

Cuay Lymond has just returned to Lymond Ranch after almost fourteen years having left it at the age of sixteen. Now his father has died and left the ranch to him. The house, the barn and the other structures are in terrible condition; the livestock all gone. The following day Cuay decides to check the perimeter fence hoping it is in better condition than the rest of the ranch. A great addition to the series.

I’ve really been enjoying this series and The Rancher is one of my stories in it. The other books have been about the Morgan sons and I’m glad that we finally get to read Rachel’s story. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the other books, I think this one stands alone fairly well. Each of the books has an HEA for the featured couple but there are overlapping arcs in a few of the books.

While the title of the book is THE RANCHER (The Morgan Brothers), it is really about the Morgan sister, Rachel. The previous books have slowly revealed all that went down to shatter their family, each from the point of view of the H of that book. This one is from Rachel's perspective. For those readers who have not read the previous books (a grave mistake, because they are all wonderful), the author includes in the narrative a short but precise synopsis, of what happened previously.

Cauy and Rachel find love despite their family history.

Cauy doesn't want anything to do with his father's ranch, and even less to do with the neighboring Morgan family. But he inherits the property at a low point in his own life, and having no other options, he settles in and reconnects with the small town folks who know way too much about his father, his family, and their secrets.

Rachel has only recently been reunited with her father and his family, so she doesn't know much about Cauy beyond th

Masterful story of healing, forgiveness and love. Kate has done the impossible and crafted a story of loving an unlovable man and his finding he can be loved for himself.

Rachel Ford has no roots and returns to her newly discovered family at the Morgan Ranch after graduating with a degree in Engineering to make connections and find a job, a purpose for life. Her mom has died, her stepdad remarried and sold the family home and the only place to land is with her Grandma Ruth, Dad Billy and 4 broth
The Rancher by Kate Pearce is the sixth book in the Morgan Ranch Series. This book focuses on Rachel Morgan, the lost daughter of the Morgans. Rachel had just completed her engineering degree and had come to Morgan Ranch to spend time with her family - a family that is all new to her. She is especially interested in the old silver mine that straddles Morgan and Lymond land. That is how she meets Cauy Lymond.

She had not been raised on the ranch and did not even know she had four brothers until after her Mom died and her Step-Father told her about the Morgans. When she first arrived she felt like an outsider but the family was very warm and accepting and she fell in love with the ranch and the countryside. I was between ratings on this one. The writing alone was 4 stars, but I didn't like Rachel 99% of the time, and the ending was a little too abrupt for me. Cauy was a good guy, and I felt like he was upfront about who he was right from the start. He knew he had problems with certain things, but he didn't try to hide that fact. Rachel acted like she was upfront too, but she wasn't. She had random bursts of anger, and then covered everything up with a smile. She was very immature and acted a lot yo ...more

I have loved this series and was looking forward to Rachel Morgan’s story. She was the daughter taken away when her mother left the Morgan Ranch , her husband and her four small children. Never to be heard from again.
Rachel has now been reunited with her family and is adjusting to her new place in it, when she meets Cauy Lymond. He is the son of the Morgan’s long time enemy. Much to his surprise, he has inherited the dilapidated ranch from a father that never showed him any love. After an accid

This the sixth book in the Morgan Ranch series. What a great book!! Rachel was introduced into the series in an earlier book, so I highly recommend that you read the previous books in the series first! You can read the book as a standalone, but you will understand more if you have read the other books. Rachel has returned to the ranch and her family. Cauy had also returned to his family’s ranch, but he never looked back after he initially left. Rachel and Cauy meet, but it is not a good meeting. ...more

The Rancher is part of my favorite series by Kate Pearce. The Morgan brothers have all found their place in the world as well as the love of their lives, so now it is time for Rachel Ford Morgan to do the same. Not that she is looking for love, she is looking to find her place and worth in the Morgan family. Rachel may appear as a strong woman but it is really Grandmother Ruth who runs the show. Oh, to be like that feisty older woman!

This book moved slower than the other books in the Morgan Ranch series. I feel kind of dumb because I didn't know how to pronounce the H's name, Cuay. I don't have a clue.

Cuay and Rachel trying to have a relationship was like pulling teeth. That relationship did not really flow for me. I also did not pick up on any chemistry between Cuay and Rachel. I am not sure if it was because they blew hot and cold through most of the book, or they just did not have that spark. I am still on the fence about

Rachel and Cauy are two individuals who were brought up to feel unloved and unwanted. They both dealt with this in different ways. Rachel became a people pleaser. While Cauy left his family home, because his father treated him so bad.

These two broken soul meet up and at first old prejudices born from other people kept them at arms length. However, they find themselves being thrown together time and time again and unbeknownst to them an attractions is building.

Isn't going from heartbreak to HEA, with all kinds of messy things, like drama, emotional scars, falling in love and making it work, exactly what a reader is looking for in a good romance book? Rachel and Cauy's journey to their own is a real page turner. Rachel not only shows her own strength of who she is, but finally comes to terms with her brothers and the past that has always lingered as they truly become a family again.
