For the fans of video games comes another book from the seriesAngel's Nightmare Adventure! Angel Ramon blasts us to the past with the prequel Zero to Angel's Nightmare Adventure Amazon best-selling book, to the place and time where it all began. In Angel's Nightmare Adventure: Zero we are following again two parallel stories as we are led into the Clark Family Mansion in Upstate New York where the Raven Hawk Virus was first discovered.

Although GameLit is not among my favorite genres, I have to give Angel credit for keeping my attention and curiosity at full alert with a variety of human and human-made characters (zombies, dogs, snakes, web spinners, Polybius, Lizarda, flea drainers and other enemies of the human race) pacing through the stories as the battle for survival within the mansion culminates.

I won't reveal if there are any survivors of the Alpha and Bravo NYPD Special Forces team at the end of this story. The only spoiler you'll hear from me is that Angel's Nightmare Adventure doesn't end with Zero because Angel's Nightmare Adventure 1.5 is already available for pre-order!

Forgive me, I stand corrected. I have one more spoiler for you: both book covers for Angel's Nightmare Adventure: Zero and Angel's Nightmare Adventure 1.5 look darn good! They are a perfect addition to those dark horror stories!

DON'T READ AT NIGHT!!

Alpha Team:
Harry
Thomas
Sabrina
Allen

Bravo Team:
Joseph
Kenny
Brad
Enrico is the Captain
Trevor
Rebecca

Matthew Clark is the Founder of Hybrid Corporation.

2. Plot ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The story begins at the Clark Family Mansion - there has been an unusual amount of murders in the Schenectady area. The victims have deep bite marks. The Alpha and Bravo teams of the NYPD's Special Forces are needed to investigate the Clark Mansion.

Sabrina and Thomas enter the mansion and sees a Zombie eating a human. They decide to split up to investigate. They know the Clark family is involved with the Hybrid Corp but is not aware of the experiments that took place.

The mansion is huge with many hallways and doors. Zombies are lurking at every turn.

Sabrina and Thomas find various keys and herbs to help them on their way. They continue to be attacked by Zombies and dogs. She uses herbs to heal herself. She finds the servants quarters and a dead servant. He left a note saying that the Clark's have been experimenting with the "Raven Hawk" virus. The test subjects; lizards and spiders develop aggressive behavior, a thirst for human blood and grow in size.

No matter where Sabrina goes, she encounters mutated zombies, dogs, snakes lizards and spiders.

Some of the team members are killed by these creatures. Then Barry wants to show Sabrina a new creature: Polybius - it's a creature twice the size of a human but is not fully developed.

Will Sabrina and Thomas find out who the traitor is? Who will escape the mansion alive? You'll have to read it to find out!!

3. Writing Structure ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Angel continues to weave a horror story that is scary and spine-tingling! The creatures he has created are unbelievable. Again, he has written an "A" and "B" storyline from the viewpoint of Sabrina and Harry. As a reader, you get a sense of Angel's creativity; from mixing herbs for optimal health to the different tests that lead you to the next door. This is a fun read but don't read it at night!!

4. Ending ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The ending is a roller coaster of thrills and suspense! You find out who the traitor is and who survives. I'll not give anything away....

5. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the prequel of "Angel's Nightmare Adventure" book 1. It tells the tale of the Clark family, Hybrid Corp and world domination! If you like video game-like books - then this one is for you!!

A great read! For fans of horror, zombies, and GameLit! If you go into this book knowing English is not Angel's first language, then the way it is written will be no problem at all and soon you'll be so engrossed in the story it won't even matter!

If you have ever played the Resident Evil games, then you need to get this book now!

How it all began

Angel has made another fun romp through video-game/readable excitement. Twists turns and endless thrills as zombies, snakes, and creatures pop out with each turn. Liked the ending and the traitor revealed, now I get to fast forward to episode four and up. Kudos, Angel. A great read, again.

I enjoyed it but the way it was written I could only handle in small amounts before I put it down. So it spent a month being the book I read when I finished the book I was currently reading while being out and about. But I enjoyed the story enough that I did continue and finish it.
