Although I have yet to complete the internship application/matching process, I am preemptively recommending this book for all applied psychology doctoral students who will be going through the APPIC match process. Reading this book helped me feel more educated about the application process. It also gave me helpful insights into shaping my internship training goals and essays, which resulted in further fine tuning of my essays in ways I believe strengthen my overall application. I went ahead and read the sections on interviewing and matching so that I would have a sense of what resources are available when it comes time to interview and then submit rank lists.

Definitely a helpful resource for those navigating the APPIC match!
