I fell in love with the storyline of Luke always crushing on Kyle and vice versa since high school and Luke coming back to see if there is anything between them and giving it one final shot for love.
Luke has been through alot before coming to Kyle’s. He is a strong kind man who has a really douche jerk for a dad. So glad Mr. Parker was there for him. When he shows up on Kyle’s door he is bruised in so many ways. His hope is that Kyle feels as he does for him because that is why he is back in town. We see this confident man vulnerable and it tears at your heart.
Kyle is the quiet steady guy. He is sweet but scared as well. In his line of work being gay isn’t something that many accept. His ranch hands have as have those around him even though he doesn’t realize they know. He is the one everyone can count on and even if it takes him a little time he does the right thing. When Luke shows up at his ranch he is wary but elated. The man he has always crushed on is in his life again.
Only now Kyle has secrets surrounding him from both the man he loves and his foreman Wendy. Each secret is so touching and heartbreaking but also makes waves in the book. For Kyle, Luke’s was the one that changes him inside. He has to gain the courage to come out so he can be there for Luke. Only when he conveys this it doesn’t quite come out right and it affects his relationship with Luke. You can see the love and attraction between them but Luke also needs support and to know Kyle is all in. He does jump to conclusions out of feeling hurt and doesn’t really look at Kyle’s view when he does. Kyle also went about expressing himself incorrectly. They do fix it but it takes some time and alot of reflection.
As for Wendy’s story, that one is just heartbreaking. Luke and Kyle show her that not everyone is like those that hurt her in the past and that she is loved and has family outside of her own blood.
The story is told in Luke and Kyle’s views and I liked both equally because it really gave us a complete picture of what they were feeling and going through. Their story was sweet and loving. We got some heartwarming scenes and sexy scenes but it was a feel good story for the heart.

Reading another story by this author is like a breath of fresh air!
Kyle runs his family's land with the help of his college friend, Wendy, who is his foreman. Luke, a school acquaintance, returns to his home town after fifteen years. Both have always admired and desired each other and so this is their story.
The emotions that are stirred up by the events in the story are so real. You feel every emotion whether it is fear, anger, happiness, excitement or confusion, each emotion takes up residence in your heart. A sign of an author doing their job well! There is a time or two where I could have cheerfully bopped certain characters on their heads, to put it mildly.
This is a lovely romance that smoothly deals with many issues gay relationships go through as well as domestic violence. Told from mainly Kyle and Luke's points of view, we garner a lot of insight into each character. Wendy's point of view pops up too, which is important, as her secret is a mystery for readers to unravel.
I thoroughly recommend this easy to read, fast paced book to everyone!

Quite a few secrets in this one, secrets you know will have you crying for these characters. These two guys come together after knowing each other years before at highschool. Two very different walks of life. Can the son of a lawyer and a cowboy get together or will life drag them apart? Wendy, the foreman is another story, her story was sick. This is not for the faint hearted but I guarantee that you'll love their journey of love. I really enjoyed this story and read it in one sitting.

Two adult men who knew each other in high school meet again in different circumstances.
Kyle has his own property on the land making this his passion.
Kyle has worked extremely hard to make everything as he wants....horses are his passion...
No one except his foreman knows his sexual orientation.... he thinks!

I totally was involved in this book everything ticked my boxes .
The writing flowed the characters rather gorgeous..

Luke’s, Kyle’s and Wendy’s Story is one to read.
You won’t be disappointed, any book I’ve read by this Author so far has been plus 5⭐️ unfortunately it will only let me give 5 Stars
