"...while sharing at a recent conference I had told many stories of miracles, signs and wonders and encounters with angels, but when I began to talk about the multiplication of money and financial miracles you could have heard a pin drop... that told me something important. People want to know about supernatural provision....." - Michael Van Vlymen
I have been asking for revelation about this very important subject for quite some time. In times of having only enough to live on, He has led me to give clothes, share my meals, etc. with those who had less, and the little I had in the bank miraculously, supernaturally, went farther than it could naturally go! It isn't the amount, but the obedience He desires. I've strongly believed that for a long time, but this book has given me a more solid scriptural basis for that belief and explained why I felt a revulsion when I I was being coerced into giving. I didn't understand about "opening doors". I just knew to turn away. After reading this, I realize that God protected me.
I was also moved to tears and very thankful for the blessing/prayer he gave for those of us who read this book.
I brought this book because my sister and I need supernatural provision. We have been very little finances and wanted to know how we could do this. We are women of faith. As I read this book, it confirmed some things I already know and opened my eyes to things I didn't know.
… which TOTALLY resonate with me on multiple levels.
I have been around long enough to have experienced everything from Pentecostal teaching, Word of Faith (name it and claim it) - Charismatic teaching, pretty much every denominational approach and a few more cult-oriented teachings.
I have to confess (and have repented of) falling victim to the “spiritual” manipulations for money from more than one ministry, teacher, prophet, TV ministry, individuals… you get the picture.
It is hard to see real truth when SO MANY are teaching a false gospel, quoting or misquoting or twisting scripture out of context or ignorance. Money and finances are one of the most abused issues, frankly.
Too often, emotion and/or greed, or simple naïveté, have led well-intentioned, God seeking people to give money or spend money without doing three very critical things:
1. Search the scriptures and educate themselves on His Word 2. Test the spirit of man, and otherwise 3. Most importantly, sincerely and earnestly seek wisdom and guidance from Father regarding EVERY dollar and cent He has put into our hands and bank accounts.
This book is short, could use a little minor editing, tends to ramble a little - it’s like sitting talking with the author, which I found charming - but makes the essential points well.
I wanted to give it five stars but I know some of the issues above might put other readers off. Some have said he didn’t address “Supernatural Provision.” They missed the point. Maybe they aren’t “there” yet and will feel different at another point in their walk.
I found the essential points extremely relevant and are looking forward to book two.
If you are tired of feeling ripped off by people and institutions of faith, I’d encourage you to seriously consider the points made here. They could very well demonstrate Supernatural Provision when ACTED upon.
Awesome book! Some unanswered questions were answered about stewardship of my finances and my relationship with God. One of the most valuable lessons was to pray and seek God's direction before giving under pressure.
Everything resonated with my spirit. If only believers would read the Word- clergy demanding money would rely upon the LORD and quit manipulating vulnerable people for financial gain.
Encouraging and insightful. His wandering style is very conversational but I found it harder to pinpoint specific instruction. I believe this godly man has much wisdom to impart, making it worthwhile to pray into what he shares.
This book came in such perfect timing. Encouraging, to seek the Lord on everything. Not to miss every opportunity to listen and wait for His leading. A must read in my opinion.
