An absolutely phenomenal romantic-suspense novel By Phyliss Miranda.
Out Of A Texas Night was superbly written, from the first chapter to the exciting conclusion.
Ms. Miranda kept me on the edge of my chair with this suspense. She weaved lovable characters into her story and supplied such a family bonding in this small Texas Panhandle town.
Avery and Brody were a powerful duo, they truly complemented each other and proved that partners in Law enforcement are more than just co-workers.. they are f

Wonderful edge of your seat gripping book. I throughly enjoyed this book by Phyliss Miranda she is one author I read again and again. This was the 2nd book in the Kasota Springs series that I have read by this wonderful talented author. This author can hold a reader’s interest with such intensity that her books are impossible to put down once started. I read this book in record time. I could not turn the page fast enough. I normally only read Western Historical Romance or Western Contemporary Ro ...more

What a great book, Phyllis Miranda has written! I was blessed to have won this book from her. This wasn't just a romance book it had two mysteries within it and it's based in the Texas Panhandle which only made it even better for this Texan. Phyllis Miranda's Out of a Texas Night drew me in quickly and kept me wondering what was going to happen all the way through the twists up to the end.

What happens when two cops run into each other? Do they know somehow that each is a law officer? Yes, they know but what if one has deep secrets to keep? How does the other one find out what happened to sear the soul of the lady cop? Why can she not trust him when he is falling head over heels for her? When will she ever realize the events were not her fault? Thus sets the questions and the stage for Avery and Brody in Phyllis Miranda's second installment in the Kasota Springs series with "Out o ...more

I loved this second book in the Kasota Springs series by Ms. Miranda and oh my! I think she's really outdone herself. The story is full of twists and turns that keep readers guessing to the very end and ohhh, the sizzling chemistry between Avery and Brody made me ache! Brody is such a hottie. He can put his boots under my bed anytime. This has great characters and a plot that will keep you turning the pages! I think readers will find it an excellent beach read.

After surviving an on-the-job shooting that left her partner dead, Avery Humphrey has returned home to Kasota Springs. She's determined to enjoy her downtime and fight her way back to her job as a deputy sheriff in Houston. Yet, when something happens in Kasota Springs that turns the town upside down, Avery finds herself the interim sheriff of the town. Will Avery and her new partner, Brody VanZant, be able to get to the bottom of what happened or will their shot at happy ever after never happen

Out of a Texas Night is the first book I've read written by Phyliss Miranda. I must say I really enjoyed her writing style. The story had a nice touch of humor, the characters were interesting and well developed, and the story moved along at a nice easy pace. Avery and Brody made me laugh as they maneuver all the obstacles they face to be together. While I can't say there was anything Wow about this book it is a very entertaining and relaxing read. I would definitely recommend.

It's the little things about his woman that brings Brody smiles, "Brody smiled to himself realizing that her I’s had turned to We’s, which pleased him to no end." Brody has no problem negotiating with his woman, "Brody turned away from the stove and gave her a smile to die for. “I promise. I’ll keep your secrets as long as you keep me.” I liked this book I loved Brody.

**I received an ARC of this book courtesy of Net Galley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely**

I’m going to start off by saying I really liked the main hero of the story, Brody, a lot. I also liked the heroine, Dannie aka Avery, almost just as much. I think they had a wonderful connection and I loved that they just intrinsically trusted each other when they’re both of a background to distrust people. The way they meet and their first few interaction

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) Soooo I start reading and the stuff that would come out of there mouths left me boggled. I went back to the front page to see what year they were supposedly in, and it said 2015, and I would start reading and then they would say something else that had me going back to the first page to make sure I was reading correctly and lo and behold it said 2015. So I would like to find out where in the hell these saying are being said. I mean we are in 2018 and ...more

Good read

Love those cowboys cops. She is hired as Interim Sheriff when the real sheriff is badly injured. He is a detective with the Sheriff's department. They had already met, but he didn't know who she was. They work together to solve the attack on the sheriff. There's humor, danger, mystery, romance and no sex. Highly recommend.
