Dick d'Easum fist glimpsed Idaho's Sawtooth Mountains when he was a boy, and it was love at first sight. D'Easum spent his life getting better acquainted with the mountains. He collected stories of the people, history, and legends of the region for more than fifty years.
The prose in this book was a joy to read through. Having been short stories in a newspaper, this collection of articles/anecdotes, etc was delightfully amusing, but yet informative as well. The information provided was not overwhelming, nor was it excessively boring. This book gave insight into the history of the Sawtooth area and what life was/is like for its inhabitants.
