One ice queen, one sweetheart, one last chance at happily ever after.

Gwendolyn Crawford is Superwoman personified. She runs her ex’s senatorial campaign while battling gossip rags, sleazy opponents, and her self-righteous former father-in-law. She does the job well, and as far as she’s concerned, that’s all she needs. Besides, there’s no time for romance. Not even when a p

Another great entry in the Rose and Thorns series! I'd been looking forward to Brooklyn's volume in this growing f/f universe since she tweeted coyly about 'loving descriptions of abs.' May I say, the abs in question deliver, as do Gwen's curls, curves, and quips. I loved the slight trope-bucking of a pro athlete with anxiety, regret, and hermit tendencies trying to put her life together post-retirement, while Gwen the political wonk has the market cornered on badassery and ambition. I will admit I am not a big fan of F/F Romance. It is nothing personal against the genre, I just prefer M/M over F/F. I picked up Sugar and Ice because it was written by a friend (note: that does not affect my rating in any way and I bought this copy myself) and I wanted to dip my toes into lesbian fiction. Sugar and Ice is a sweet, emotional story about two very different women both living in the public eye. Jackie battles depression while Gwen battles the press and her former father-in-law. Th ...more

The third installment of the Rose & Thorns Series. I was disappointed with Touch Up (my review) but I really enjoyed Sugar and Ice. I’m a big fan of opposites attract romances and Jackie and Gwen made such a dynamic pair. The theme of mental health took me by surprise but it was handled well and more importantly didn’t make Jackie’s romance with Gwen the magic pill to “cure” her depression. This is a good addition to this F/F series.

Next up is Fallen Starlet.

I fucking love this book. Usually switching POV books are hard for me because I cannot distinguish the voices but the voices in this book are so beautifully different I didn't have trouble following it even once. I want to talk about the sex scenes a little because as a woman who likes woman herself these are important to me. I adored them and I wish Brooklyn would bless us with many more f/f romances because I felt like I was being pampered.

This was an amazing book to end the year with. Would r

Tricky Dicky!

This was a very interesting book. I learned way to much about politics. Thanks for the insight into the things a retired WNBA player does, when they become recognized by their past.
