This book gave insightful tactics to the game of football behind the mind of Bill Belichick. I was impressed with how the author gave little tidbits on a number of different aspects of the game. It gave insight on what it means to be a team, instead of individual players. One of the parts I found most interesting was about picking up free agents. There may be a good player in free agency, but does he improve the team. You may be able to find someone, if the Pats don't already have him, to play a specific roll with value. They also need to fill a 53 man roster. They need players who can play at multiple positions and make the necessary plays. Its a next man up mentality. With "No Days Off", the team works hard during practice to be ready for game day. If anything, what makes the Patriots successful, is their determination through hard work and teamwork. Work ethic is a rare thing. The Patriots have it as it determines their success. This was an interesting book. I would recommend for anyone else who's a heavy as a Pats fan as I am. GO PATS!

This was a recap of years of notes that reporter John Powers had taken from the press meetings with Belichick on Friday’s. BB will provide more information on his ideas, thoughts, and philosophies at these meetings. There were some interesting tidbits included but the vast majority were things that I had read or heard before. Still a good read for Patriot fans and of course free from the local public library.

Truth: I am a huge Patriot fan and an even bigger Bill fan. I live by the theory ‘in Bill we trust’. For years, we have been hearing how much fun and how open Bill is in his Friday pressers. If this is what the press feels as their high point of weekly beat coverage, they feel sorry for them. They truly have sad and pathetic careers as beat writers covering the Pats. There is nothing earth shattering here and many of the anecdotes are hashed and rehashed from chapter to chapter.

I really enjoyed the book, it was interesting how they displayed Bill and showed his options on the NFL and how is likes to keep is old school. It also showed how great of a coach he is, when it talks about how is changes his teaching strategies to fit the players. Overall if you like the patriots you would like the book
