This is a great story about a man's journey through some truly difficult moments in his life, and a heartwarming story of his overcoming obstacles and finding true joy in life. I think most of us can relate in some way to this, truly going through some hard times in life either makes us or breaks us, and discovering what's truly important in life. I applaud Jon for sharing this with us, and hope it can inspire others to trust in God and with that, you can truly find joyful meaning to life. :)

Speaking of fallen people--that's what we all are, right?--I must recommend the quickest, easy-read in a long time. What an amazing story. Get a copy of WHEN LIFE GRABS YOU BY THE BASEBALLS: Finding Happiness in Life's Changeups, by Jon Peters.

I won't tell you much, but it is so suspenseful. I could hardly put it down, wondering what would happen next in this true story of incredible highs and lows.

I love reading about one's journey. Jon Peters has a tremendous story to tell. After pitching 13 year professionally then scouting HS, college and professional baseball players for the past 24 years, I found Jon's story to be extraordinary. In those 37 years, I've never met a HS pitcher to have had so much success. Yet, I couldn't help but feel sorrow, compassion and empathy for this story. Well done Jon Peters.

I have mixed views about this book. It seemed whiny at points and over explanations/repetition about baseball terms. It does explain how he turned his life around by trusting God.
