Whether you’re seven or seventy, the chances are you’ve probably come in contact with one of his many books (150 plus), or cartoons that have appeared in over 200 magazines in the course of his lifetime, including Laugh it Off which was syndicated for 20 years. There's nothing wrong with this. It's just not nearly as fun as the original.

I enjoyed this book and will consider using it in my future classroom. I think that this book is fun, but can also be used to teach students that they need to rest when they get sick. I think that too often, our society prioritizes work and school over health and wellbeing- whether it be physical or mental. Teaching students about health and the importance of taking care of yourself can’t be stressed enough.
While I liked this book as a whole, I wasn’t a fan of the fact that it assigned stereotypical gender roles, even if in a small way. This happened when Danny’s mom was the one to take care of Danny while he was sick, even though his dad didn’t say that he was going to work or doing anything that would prevent him from helping Danny’s mom take care of him. That being said, I think the book is still fun and can help to bring up a conversation about how to take care of oneself when sick, so I wouldn’t discount using the book in my classroom.

I would have voted if there were the highest number in the world of stars. Because I can read this book almost completely to myself, but with a tiny bit of help. My favorite part was Danny parents telling him that they were taking care of him. Hope. My favorite line “the day seemed longer than forever”

Having a sick day isn't generally big fun. But this time Danny and the Dinosaur can both keep each other company, sneezing.

"When the dinosaur sneezed... everybody ran and hid."

As always, with Syd Hoff narrating, expect the unexpectedly delightful.

FIVE STARS for this series in general, and "The Big Sneeze" in particular.
