Another good volume of Golden Age horror comics from Harvey. Like the other volumes, the quality of the stories are surprisingly high. It does to show that there were good horror comics being published by companies other than EC, although EC did set the bar.

These short, simple, entertaining, and fun horror stories are perfect for pick up and go reading. The stories can be wordy at times, however considering the limited number of pages of each story this helps to create a nice spooky, eerie, and suspenseful atmosphere.
However, the reproduction of this book is terrible, especially since the cover price is $24.99. The size is 7 X 10 1/4 in. with the actual print area being approx. 6 X 9. This small size blurs some of the words making it hard to read. The line work of the art is nice, but the colors are typical 1950's off center and is overall very bad. It is nice to have that retro feel, however a non-color black and white version would have been nice alternative.
Overall, the book is good the for $5.oo price I paid. However, at the cover price of $24.99. I would take off another star and make this a 3 star book.
