This was a fun read! It's actually the 2nd book, and I haven't read the first, but that wasn't a problem at all as the main plot of this book is pretty self-contained. Some previous events are mentioned, but not in a way that makes having read the first book a requirement.

I enjoyed the set up of the magical world. The idea of different factions was logical but also interesting. I liked the way the magic itself was set up; it had clear rules and was easy to understand. I also enjoyed the characte

A great sequel to Furcifer's Pride! I suck at writing reviews but this wonderful book series has so few that I might as well plug it a bit.

Do you want to read a book series with magic, interesting & dynamic characters (some of whom are canonically queer!), with good jokes every now and then? A book series that people of (almost) all ages can read and enjoy? A book series that isn't predictable or filled to the brim with tropes like "chosen" ones and love triangles? Look no further!
