I love me a Scotsman and I love me some Dugall Ferguson. He was the proverbial tall, dark, and handsome, but he had a lot more going on than just his looks. He was smart, flirtatious, and witty. He had a great sense of honor and chivalry.

Gwendolyn McClintock's young nephew is an heir to a Scottish title and lands. She, being the guardian of this nephew and his little sister, sells everything in America and, along with her aunt and the children's nanny, go to Scotland since it was required that

In her book, Seductive Surrender, this talented writer Collette Cameron offers her readers, a wonderful and delightful Scottish romance! This amazing story is the 6th adventure of her Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series. It included a well-written plot that kept my interest until the end! This is overall a light-hearted story with some humor, but also serious background themes threatening the happiness of our heroine. Not a weak female, Gwendolyn faces the possibility of her guardianship over her niece and nephew being called into question. She must adjust to the local customs and unexpected inhabitants of her nephew's estate. Fortunately, she has the handsome Dugall willing to help her. An enjoyable read with some surprising twists.
I read an advance reader copy.

I loved this book! The characters were very strong, and worked well together. Both having reasons for not wanting a relationship, but unable to ignore the draw towards the other. The secondary characters were also very well rounded, and added to the interest of the story. I love it when the descriptions of the surroundings make me feel like I am right there, and I can hear the conversations perfectly in my mind (not everyone can write a Scottish accent well, but enjoyably, Ms Cameron can) Highly ...more

When I first started the book I wasn't sure I'd like that the heroine was 4 yrs older than the hero. I normally avoid scenarios with an older woman. I'm glad I continued! Dugall was the lightness that Gwendolyn needed in her life. She's so focused on taking care of her niece/nephew that she needs a little "play" in her life. The protagonist wasn't at ALL who I thought it was going to be and I loved that little twist. It was a wonderful story! Thank you for gifting me a copy!

This book was very interesting. This is the kind of book where new things just keep happening, and you simply cannot leave it alone. I especially liked Gwendolyn, how smart and independent she is, and just how much she endures with a smile for the sake of others. I'm sincerely glad this book came to my hands!

A good read.
I enjoyed this story once it got going.
at first I was a little frustrated with this story. Gwendolyn's coach knocks over a man in the road who, as well as having a gash on his head and being unconscious, looks like he's been in a fight.
Instead of taking him to get some medical help, Gwendolyn stands in the road ruminating on her life and whether he is a gentleman. I wanted to give her a kick and say get on with it.
However, once they get moving and she gets shot at, the story gets

This was a light, heartfelt novel with just enough of a twist to keep me on my toes. I ate up every moment of it. I loved the ever evolving romance. It was simultaneously instant and slow to develop. The multifaceted relationship between the main characters was heightened by the well developed world that Cameron presents to readers. I could feel myself being drawn further and further into the story, able to picture every moment.

A Scot and a Southern Belle are a different and amazing couple! Almost killing him was a great way to meet and their interaction afterward guaranteed they weren't going to be like most. The passion between them practically jumped off the pages. I was sucked into trying to figure out who was the would-be killer and did not see who it was coming at all and that is rare for me. Accents are done perfectly and there is a fine use of "bless your heart" in this story.

Another witty fun read from Collette Cameron

Collette Cameron has again woven a story rich in witt, mystery and familiar intrigue.
I found Gwendolyn, the American heroine from the south an absolute hoot! Her colloquialisms and southern witticisms kept me laughing all the way through! The humor helps to offset the sadness and tragedy of her life and knowing her past helps to understand the perspective the relationship she fears to develop with the handsome, alluring Highlander, Dugall.
