Chuck Cluck, an alien chicken from outer space adopted by an Earth chicken, makes trouble in the henhouse but saves the day when a villainous rat steals eggs intended for hatching
Since the publication of Fancy Nancy, Jane O'Connor's closet now boasts so many boas, tiaras, and sparkly ensembles that sometimes friends do not recognize her on the street. She still resides (that's a fancy word for lives) in New York City with her family and their canine companion, Arrow. --from the publisher's website
Abandoned on Earth while still an egg, Chuck Cluck from the planet Nestron was raised by Mrs. Cluck. Unlike the other chicks Chuck has superpowers, and only uses them for good, and foils the plans of a thieving rat.
I've read a book called super cluck by Jane O Connor. This book is about from a small planet a little chick named Nestron who was raised by Mrs. Cluck. Then unlike other chick's a little chuck comes to rescue and uses his super powers to defeat the thieving rat. Well I like this book because I like the character Chuck how he comes to rescue other chick's and how he defeat the thieving rat by using his super powers. Although I like to recommend this book to an eight years old children those who like to hear about interesting books.
This is an interesting story loosely based on the superman story, only using a chicken instead. When the hens discover someone is stealing their eggs, Super Cluck comes to the rescue. A quick read - good for reading aloud at storytime.
Another book that my kids love that I tolerate. A chick with amazing powers...from another planet...really? He does good things. It just wouldn't be my choice for a bedtime story.
