A seriously mind-mending ride into obsession and the lengths we will go to in order to feel safe. Best read in one sitting, One has all the qualities of a nightmare. The writing is lovely, although sparse and unsettling. This is a book about liminal spaces and the people who inhabit them.

Have you ever woken from a recurring dream wondering if you have just dreamt something, or if it really did happen? I have & it can be super freaky! I got that same feeling reading this book. I enjoyed the actual writing itself and the plot line was definitely intriguing but I am still trying to reconcile the events in my mind and are pondering exactly what happened in the end. One of the most unsettling and intelligent books I’ve read. 3.5 stars. Made me think... quite a unique story about how we live our lives and if any of that introspection actually ends up mattering.
